“Great location, helpful staff, nice choise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

I spend three nights in Hotel Zenica during Fair. This is for sure prime choise for staying in Zenica. Comfortable rooms, very clean and spacy bathroom, first class wellness.
Good value for money. Restaurant has a very good choise of food and food is served proffesionaly.
I cannot say nothing against this hotel. For sure be back next time.

Initially we had booked a stay at the hotel Dubrovnik in Zenica and were very, very disappointed. So, after first night we moved to this hotel (hotel Zenica) and were very impressed. Modern design throughout, nice lobby, clean, spacious rooms, beautiful bathroom, great fitness room and pool, very friendly staff, good breakfast selection. The only thing we did not like was that smoking was allowed indoors.

For some reason this hotel is not featured on Booking.com or HRS.de, but it is by far the best hotel in Zenica and 25km radius.

Building is quite large (for this area), and while its outside façade looks ok, it does not tell visitor anything about what he’ll witness on the inside. It has 5 or 6 floors, with several small bridges connecting two sides of the hotel inside the huge atrium.
Whoever built it wasn't thinking about profits. Instead, feeling of space inside the hotel had a priority over the number of rooms that could be fitted into it. Once you're inside overall feeling is that you have entered a really luxurious establishment.

Rooms are unusually large even for 4-star hotels. They are organized in a usual way with large bed in the middle, a flat-screen TV on the wall opposite from the bed. There's also a small make-up table with large mirror on the wall above the table. There is also a floor-to-ceiling mirror on the opposite wall. There's also a comfortable armchair and a coffee-table.
TV could have been bigger, but it's not too small either.
Minibar is well packed with beverages, but there are no snacks in it.

There is WiFi for guests in the lobby, but not in the rooms.
You can ask at the front desk for a LAN-cable which you can use in the room, but during my stay I had problems with internet in the room. I was told that this was a temporary glitch, but it's hard to say if this was temporary or usual state of affairs.
I also noticed that there's no garbage bin next to the desk.

All rooms have safety boxes in the wardrobe - which is nice.
They are not screwed to the wardrobe - which is not so nice. ;0)

I was also disappointed with blankets. They were very warm... too warm in fact.

I point to quite a few things that could have been better in the room, but regardless of these details room was very good by all standards.

Bathrooms are large with two sinks on one side and quite large bathtub on the other. Bidet is next to the toilet. Very nice ceramics, top quality faucets, all very clean, new, and well maintained.
On the shower hose itself, there's a small ring that you need to pull down to switch the water to the shower. It looks like a part of the hose so if you don't know what you're looking for it might take you a while to figure it out.
In general bathroom was excellent.

Hotel also has a spa, gym, and other amenities - which i haven't used so i can't comment.

Breakfast lounge is on a balcony on the 1st floor, overlooking the atrium and front desk which is one floor below.
Choice of foods was quite good. On the other hand, they offered some cheap chemical yellow stuff as substitute for orange juice – which was below my expectations for this kind of hotel.

Price was fair taking into account both hotel's location (which can be described only as “somewhere in the middle of Bosnia”) and quality of service which is much better than you’d expect on this location.

Right next to the hotel is a shopping mall, a small stadium, and exhibition ground for the local trade-fair.
Staff of hotel was very friendly, capable, and in general I was very satisfied with their service.

Room Tip: If you need internet during your stay, check if it works as soon as you arrive to hotel. If A/C is...

I spent one night in this very nice hotel in Zenica, in the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Hotel is very close to city center and all other important locations. It is almost new (4-5 years) designed in minimalistic stile with very nice and clean furniture and enterier.
Rooms are big, clean with all neccessary equippment (LCD 42'', Mini Bar, big and good bath...).
Breakfast is typicall four-star hotel buffet breakfast with pleanty of food and beverage,
Hotel provides free of charge parking and garage.
Staff is gentle and friendly.
Hotel has pool and spa facilities but I did not had time to visit it.
It is approx. 50 EUR for double room per night what is very good value for money.
One of the best hotels in BiH.

Definitively I would come again and reccomend it.

Hotel Zenica is a hidden 4-star gem that one would not expect to find in Zenica. Excellent location, spacious room, comfy bed, gratis (proper) wellness and (wired) broadband are its strongest points. On the other hand, visually hotel is somewhat dark and generic, lacking character. Logo of the hotel is a straight up Zorro rip-off (?!). Hotel staff is cordial, discreet and capable. We were allowed late check out after phoning up reception. Not cheap (compared to average wage in Bosnia) but offers a good value for money for business travellers. A tip: to turn on the shower you need to pull down a ring around the point where the shower hose joints the tap (below).

I was here on business in March 2012; an elegant and modern hotel, good value for money, a lot of parking space, good breakfast.... A bit impersonal, since it is mostly for business travelers, but very clean and airy. Will definitely stay here again.
