My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights.
The good - the room was clean despite being very basic with a kind of grim character; the grounds/lawns were lovely and it has a fairly clean pool.
The average - the buffet breakfast of eggs, dry cakes ("pastries"), fruit juice and hard bread was mediocre but ok; the ensuite bathroom is clean but with exposed wiring and poor pressure; Hot water and wi-fi when there is power (noting that we had heaps of power outages during our stay which especially sucked mid shower - without any power at all on the morning of our checkout).
The bad - there is a function space next door which hosted a party with karaoke which went one evening from 9pm until 1pm...the next day. It was so loud that even my earplugs couldn't muffle out the bad music and singing. We're non-fussy, heavy sleepers - and we got no sleep that night and no rest the next morning until it eventually stopped just after lunch. Whilst not the fault of Safari (and staff didn't seem to care when queried about it), be aware that there is a function space there and if a party is on - you have no chance of sleep or relaxing.
Overall, this was an over-priced option with sub-standard service and facilities. We switched to the Oriental on the other end of our jungle trip - and whilst basic - the Oriental's cleanliness, hammocks, friendly staff, reliable wifi and accessible location makes it trump Safari on all levels.
