“Good Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2012

Tried the french toast and smoked salmon scramble. Toast was hot. Coffee was nice. Fruit was fresh. Service was excellent. Eggs were a little over-done and the mozza had no flavour. Should have asked for jalapeno jack.

“Just like Mom's”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

The menu was really good. It is an old house with tables in each room. Reminds me of home. The sandwich was really good and big. It was a half of sandwich meal. They also bake their own deserts. Clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly.

“Pretty darn good but......”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

A very cute little place off the main street. Food is well prepared and you get good portions for the price. They even have cookies for sale at the register as you leave that are awesome. My only beef, the "daily regulars" get more attention than the rest of the customers. As we arrived, there were 3 tables open. We were placed in a corner table for 2 cause "the other tables were for larger parties". Cool, I can live with that. Soon, about 30 seconds, a "daily regular" came in and was directed to "their table". I figured they had more people coming but instead it was just the 2 of them. They ordered oatmeal and coffee then proceeded to sit after finishing their food and read while sipping their java. At one point, we were wanting more coffee and sat for about 10 minutes waiting before we just decided to leave so got up and went to the register. Waited 3 more minutes before anyone could help us to settle up. The food is great though.

“Charming and quaint, serves great homemade food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2012

This is our favorite breakfast place in Anacortes; we eat there once a week. There is a wide variety of choices on the menu and everything we have tried has been delicious. It has a nice, homey feel and the wait staff are friendly and provide great service. Highly recommend it, also good for lunch.

“A long wait.........”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2011

I had read the previous favorable reviews and decided to give it a try. We live in the islands and frequently eat breakfast in Anacortes at several favorite spots. Mary Ann's kitchen is a small house/cottage on a side street. It was busy and we found a few empty tables. We sat for about 10 minutes before the waitress gave us our menus. She took our order and we indicated that we had an appointment (within 75 minutes). We waited over 45 minutes for our meal, which was not complicated. Both our meals were good, but lukewarm. Because we were short on time, we ate the food and asked the waitress for the check. Will probably give it another try at a later date.
