“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2009

This motel has everything you need at a good price, plus it's in a great location in the old town of Anacortes they have free wi fi internet. There's a very nice place for breakfast next door & it's walkng distance to good restaurants. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, & management/staff were friendly & helpful.

If your the kind of person that needs all the extra amenties, stay in Seattle. But if you love small town charm, friendly people and a quaint quiet place to stay, this is the place. My husband and I regret only staying here for 1 night. We have already discussed plans to return and spend more quality time both in Anacortes and at the Cap Sante Inn.

The location adjacent to marina and historic district is great. Owner and staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Also a pet-friendly motel. Not glamorous, but clean and roomy and definitely the best value.

We stayed in a "suite" room, which had oodles of space for four adults (one senior.) Everyone slept well. Furnishings are basic but in good working order. The room was clean. I noticed a cleaning chemical smell (chlorine?) but my family didn't mention it. Traffic noise was mild-moderate in a ground floor room by the street. Its not a particularly busy or high-speed street. There is another wing away from the street that would probably be very quiet.

Personnel were quite friendly and helpful.

We had one complaint : a plumbing fixture somewhere was turning on and off every 45 seconds and the sound was annoying. Staff responded promptly when we reported this.

This is not a spiffy new hotel, but for an older place it seemed well run.

*A very average hotel

*Not spotless, but clean-ish. I noticed some dust and hairs in one far corner of the bathroom and a couple hairs on the bed when I came in, but otherwise it was clean.

*The location was right in downtown near nice shops, so if you want to "see" Anacortes downtown, it is a good place to stay.

*Service was friendly and helpful

*Used metal keys, not swipe-card

*No A/C

At twice the price this place would have been fabulous but at $74 it was really exceptional. The room was enormous, great view of marina, beds were firm and all the furnishings were new. We spent a few days on the islands and this was just the best place ever. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful and the location, walking distance to everything downtown just couldn't be beat. Try the restaurant across the street, Bellisimo Trattoria, it was excellent too.

We stayed in 6 different hotels over a 7 night whirlwind trip to Seattle and this was the best hotel we stayed in. The beds were brand new and more comfortable than my SleepNumber bed back home. The carpet was new as well. The room was huge, clean and comfortable. Located right next to marina and historic downtown.

  • Liked — comfortable bed and room
  • Disliked — traffic noise on side street
