Cruising the "old" part of downtown Anacortes one evening, we spied a quaint eatery with a very large dessert case (well stocked) visible from the street. We were shown to a table in an old red brick restaurant with an absolutely huge selection of menu items. My wife opted for the "burger dip" which is like a regular beef dip with au jus, but uses hamburger meat instead. My wife says "marvellous!". I received fish and chips made with traditional cod, and dipped in batter, not breaded like so many place do. Both meals were served with copious amounts of very yummy cole slaw and french fries. Non stop soda refills, and great attention from the server. Not a formal environment, bit rather casual and cozy. We will return!
