We needed to stay in Anacortes prior to a ferry trip the islands. What a great find. Good views, great service, good rooms that had two separate doors so you can close off one from the other. Not walking distance to anything but close (.5 mile) to Anancortes town.

“Not worth $170.00”

I spent a week looking for a place to stay on the water in Anacortes, the Ships Harbor Inn was the closest...the pictures on the web site sucked me in...I reserved room 25, with a jacuzzi tub. I wanted to surprise my husband with a quiet, wonderful weekend away. We got there around 9 pm, our room was on the bottom floor, that should of been our first clue...my husband said he felt like he was in a dungeon. The room was nice, but not worth $170.00. There was supposed to be bathrobes, I had to go ask for them, and they aren't plush robes, like it had said. Our water view is mostly trees, out the sliding door to our mini patio, there were bats diving at us...so we thought go to bed get up feeling better about the place...we were up most of the night due to the pillows being flat and hard and the bed being hard as a board...got up stiff and sore (should of used the jacuzzi tub in the morning), go out to our patio and there is a family playing with a soccer ball in front of us. The only thing I can say about this place was the girls that worked there were nice but didn't hesitate to make us pay a $50.00 penalty for not staying the 2 nights. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I stayed for 4 days, in the first week in April. The room was well kept and fresh, the bathroom was clean and fresh and everything worked. The hotel itself is more than adaquate for the area. It is close to the ferry, and that is convient. The people who run the place were very helpful and courteous. I think my over all exprience there was good. I would give it a 3.5 stars out of 5.

We traveled across the country to stay in Anacortes prior to the start of a 2 day kayak trip I booked with Anacortes Kayak tours. So I was eager for a good nights sleep. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the construction quality of the hotel. I should have asked for an upstairs room, instead we were on the first floor. We heard every step and loud noise made by the family staying above us. I phoned the front desk at 10 PM to ask them to have the family quiet down (they had been running and bed jumping for quite awhile). I then heard yelling outside asking for quiet. The room had a microwave and refrg which was nice, but no hair dryer and thin towels. I have stayed at better Day's Inns for much less money. The morning continental breakfast was okay - waffle maker and hard boiled eggs plus the cereal and breads were available. Our view was okay - but the hotel web site over promised so I was disappointed. According to others on our trip there was a better hotel in town, this one is not near town but near the ferry terminal. Town is 10 minutes away - not bad but not walkable. PS: Adrift Restaurant is town has good food.

Wanted something special for my wife and me to visit Anacortes and had read the rave reviews in Tripadvisor. Called and asked for rates, $129 and up for a view and jacuzzi etc. Was described as very nice and given special rate of $119 that was $130 with fees. When we arrived there was a sign outside for $59 and up. When I asked, they were all rented, I asked about the $79 room, all rented too. Then number of cars that night and next day did not show it was crowded. The pillowtop mattress was an innerspring with padding on top, foam pillows and small for a queen bed. Room was small, old furniture, the Jacuzzi was built up so you had to climb to get in, not good for elderly or overweight people and the room had a little round table and two wooden chairs. Jacuzzi will hold two people uncomfortably. When we filled it with water it produced scum bubbles on top from previous soap usage. We showered after the relaxing jacuzzi. The "extended continental breakfast" was two kinds of dry cereal, waffles to make and some plain small bagels. At breakfast we talked with a couple from Canada and they'd stopped for the $59 advertised room but were told they we all taken so were convinced to take the $89 room. The view was not too exciting. I think I was taken, no way was it worth the money. I would not recommend this place at all unless you get it for $59.
