We were looking for a good quality affordable hotel to spend the night at before boarding the ferry to the San Juan Islands. We were very very impressed with the Anaco Bay Inn. It is a small quaint hotel in town. The rooms are very clean and large. We had a very nice room with a fireplace, comfortable bed, refrigerator and a large bathroom for a price well under $100. We have stayed at many places across the US and this was one of the best values we have ever found. The hotel staff was friendly and the continental breakfast consisted of hot and cold cereal, toast, english muffins, yogurt, juice and milk. It may not have been a full breakfast but it was plenty and came with the room. We were disappointed we only spent one night. A great find in Anacortes!

An clean, quite and excellent priced lodging facility. A very convenient 10 minute drive for catching the ferry to Sydney, Vancouver Island. Only complaint would be you miss the 7am continental breakfast if you ferry leaves at 7:45am. :)

Very spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Booked rooms there twice in March, first on our way to Orcas Island, and then on our return. overall very happy with our stay and would book again. Nice rooms for the price!

I travel a lot for my profession and am always hesitant to discover how nice or disappointing my next hotel will be. My experience with Anaco Bay Inn was delightful from the start. I had to ship a large package in advance and Richard couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. My room was much nicer than expected. Not only was it quite and comfortable, but also featured a kitchenette and fireplace. Coming from a few weeks of being acclimated to parking fees, internet usage fees and breakfast charges, I was thrilled to find out all of these amenities were included with my already low room rate. I’ve stayed in Hyatts and Marriotts that were twice as expensive and half as nice. Anacortes is such a charming island, why not stay in a charming inn?

I will definitely come back and since they have a honeymoon suite, hopefully not alone!

My only suggestion is an elevator to help with those carrying heavy luggage to the second floor.
