“Didn't "love it", Won't "be back"!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2011

I have one nice thing to say about this facility- the water pressure was good.
*We checked in, they gave us the wrong room type from what was reserved.
*The telephone didn't work (glad there wasn't an emergency)- and get this- the desk clerk said that the owner didn't want to pay to have it repaired.
*the shower drain was clogged- in ankle deep water.
*the cable tv, bad reception.
*and the "free wi-fi".. well it's not a hi speed connection, and it's not a secure connection, no log in/password, not even a portal to connect.

If you stay here, hope your stay was better than ours.. It was a memorable stay, just not a positive one.

We let one of the people in our group book a hotel the night before we left Seattle. BIG mistake. not only did we pay $60 per couple (to share a room) there was no breakfast, the beds were lucky if they were doubles, and the bedding was old and rough. You can park here for 7 days and pick up on your return for free, and they do offer a free shuttle to and from the airport, but so does every other hotel near the airport! They are in serious need of upgrading, that or just tearing it down and starting over again. If you are looking for a budget hotel, don't spend your money here. For a few more dollars a night you can stay somewhere way better!

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry but we are located in Aberdeen, WA and are approximately 70 miles from Seatac Airport. We do not provide shuttle service to the airport from here and believe that you may confused us with another hotel near Seatac Airport.

Not much choice in Aberdeen or Hoquium. Have had pretty good luck with Americas Best Value in other locations so tried this. Rate high for what you get. Now doing my research I wish we had stayed at the Guesthouse International and paid a bit more. The room was large and basically clean. One of the two beds was adequate. BUT when we turned on the water we had red red water coming out of the pipes. Not drinkable for sure. It did clear. The desk said it was just because the room had not been used for a while. It was pretty quiet--probably due to the small number of folks there. Desk people were friendly and helpful overall. The entire premises outside was dirty and full of cigarette butts--no smoking rooms, but no place to smoke outside that had ashtrays and they obviously did not bother to clean that up.

We rolled into town late and didn't know where to stay so we figured we'd go with a name I've heard of. We stayed the night for $70, so it's not going to be the Ritz. The beds were not firm at all, but the hotel was clean. It's a 1 star hotel, so how great is it going to be? Will we go back? Probably not now that we know there are better options.

Arrived thinking that this was a Red Lion but found out it had been changed a few years ago to a America's best value Inn. Check in went fine. Trouble started when we saw the room. Baseboards on one wall were falling off. The plaster above the shower head was falling off in places. The mattresses on both queen beds were shot. Towels in the bathroom were thin and one of the wash cloths still had soap on it prior to my wife using it. You could feel the springs in the bed and when you bed partner moved you moved as well. Needless to say it was not a great night’s sleep.
Things were a bit better at breakfast. They had some cereal, waffles and some fruit.
Overall, a very disappointing stay and I did not find the value in staying in a place that I, nor my family had a good experience.

This property is a good value for your dollar but it depends on what time of year you stay here. If you stay in the off season it's a great deal, if it's the busy season you might as well spend 10 extra bucks a night and stay over at the Guesthouse. The rooms are pretty big, but they always feel cold when you first enter. Luckily the heaters work good. The beds are not the best, but it is a place to sleep. The rooms need renovations in my opinion. They have a decent continental breakfast. Overall this place is decent........not the Guesthouse but not a dump.
