I took my 2 kids to Kings Dominion this weekend and we stayed at Ashland Inn. The first night we stand there everything seemed to be ok. So we didn't mind extending our stay for the next day. We left for our day at Kings Dominion and needless to say when we returned to our hotel (Ashland Inn) our room was not cleaned. We did not have the air condition on because we knew that we would be coming in late and it would be to cold to take the showers. So because the air was not on the trash that was left in our room had the whole room smelling like garbage! We couldn't take our showers right away because, you guessed it we had no CLEAN TOWELS!!!!!!! When I went to call the front desk, no one answered the phone and I had to walk all the way around to the other side of the building just to make the complaint at the front desk. When I got to the front desk it was about 6 employees in the back room behind the desk. The phone was ringing and no one made an attempt to pick it up. They looked at me as to say, "what do you want!" I asked for one of the gentlemen to come to the front so that I could speak to him. When I told him of my complaint he stated that the managers were not there and that 3 of the helpers walked out on them. I demanded that he call one of the managers immediately because I was truly unhappy with my services there. He called the manager and she had no concern at this time because from my understanding after speaking with her later, she was on vacation! Hopefully enjoying hers, becaused I didn't enjoy mine! Anyway, she told the gentleman to get me some clean towels, wash clothes and to get my trash for me. I didn't get too upset because I my kids with me and I was in the understanding that the help left and it was not in there control. But, the next day when I went to check out, you guessed it again, no MANAGERS WERE THERE!!! The young lady said that ALL (remember this ALL) the managers were in a corporate meeting and she didn't have the authority to make any kind of decisions about the finances, because she was just there for a year. So I asked her to take down my telephone number to my cell and have the manager to call me as soon as she get back from the meeting (which as to be at 3:00pm according to the young lady). Guess what, the manager never called me at all that day, and when I called the hotel after arriving at home I was told that the manager had left for the day. I called the manager first thing this morning, and she was already aware of who I was and the nature of my call. This manager that I am refering to is Brenda Breedlove and she wasn't professional AT ALL! When I explained to her everything that took place the only thing she stated was, "and what do you want me to do about that!" Well I don't have to tell you that I was boiling!!! I told her that I feel that she should deduct that day from my bill. Well she said, "I'm not going to let you stay in my hotel for free!" Needless to say we went back and forth with our opinions and nothing was accomplished. So I asked to have the number to her home office and she stated that she could give me the number but she will call them to see what they wanted to do about the situation. About 15 minutes went pass and she called me back and stated that they said that they will deduct $25 from my stay. I told her that was unexceptable and that I wanted to speak with someone from her home office and again she said she could give me the number because they don't want anyone having the number because of sales reps! So I told her to call them and give them my number and have someone call me from there office. She stated, "I'll try!" So I just want anyone who is in the Ashland area to know that this hotel don't give a FLYING FART about their customers! I will be pursuing this matter further and if anyone could assist me in this matter I would greatly appreciate it.
Sincerely,
Won't stay there again!!!
