We just got back from a weekend at King's Dominion. Really enjoyed this particular Holiday Inn. Had a one bedroom suite as we brought along my 17 year old daughter and niece (also 17). Living room/dining area on the small side - but larger than we needed. We only spent one night so did no eating in the room. Mini fridge, micro, small sink and cabinets, coffeemaker in Kitchen area, small table and chair right next fridge. Coffeetable, couch, chair, TV/dresser in same room left enough floorspace to just walk past. if we opened sofabed we would have needed to move furniture. Since we had 2 double beds we just all slept in the bedroom. Nice desk setup with wireless/wired access, TV/dresser, suitcase stand. Room was very clean, beds extremely comfortable, large fluffy pillows. Bathroom was nice size, very clean as well, shower worked great. I booked through Priority Club and since the last hotel I booked through them was the absolute WORST hotel I have ever stayed in, I was a little leery. (Which is not quite fair since I have stayed in many good hotels thru them-but thats life!!) But this hotel was wonderful.
Pool area was clean, hottub was the most perfect temperature of any we have ever used. Hotel hallways were clean, lobby was very nice (also each desk person we came in contact with were extremely pleasant) The buffet was good enough, though not one of the best. The Cracker Barrell right next door was great, there is also a McDonald's and an Appletree right next door.
This hotel is right off of I-95 (exit 92) and since King's Dominion is right at exit 98 it was a very short drive.
