Stayed here while in Richmond area on business. Picked the hotel initially because of good price ($107 mid week), location right off I-95, and the other Trip Advisor reviews. They were right - the hotel is great; staff very friendly and helpful, clean inside and out, and the location is great. It is not brand new, but not one of the oldest Hamptons either. Consequently, the room size was a little bigger than normal (see picture #1) - that was nice. Had a double with desk and room to move around. There's also a fully-stocked business center if you prefer to work in more area.
It's right off 95 not quite a mile, and at first the exit area looks a little uninviting, but once you get about 2 blocks off the highway, it's a very nice area. There were plenty of shops and restaurants all very close, most within walking distance. There's a Starbucks right across the street, and it's in the front of a shopping center that has several restaurants (Mexican - it was pretty good, and VERY reasonable; Chinese, Dairy Queen, etc.). There's a pharmacy right around the corner, and several other restaurants and stores all within just a few blocks.
Like other Hamptons, the breakfast area had the standard fare, it was well stocked, and the server was very friendly and helpful. They did a good job keeping the food area and tables always looking clean. There was a workout room that was very small, but it did have 6 or 7 different types of equipment - a treadmill, elliptical trainer, stationary bike, weights, etc.
Due to its proximity to I-95, it is not as far away from the airport as it looks on a map. It's only about 20 minutes door-to-door (hotel to airport) since it's interstate almost the entire way. Also about 15 - 20 minutes to downtown. I would not hesitate staying here again no matter where meetings were being held in the Richmond area.
