This hotel was very clean & tastefully decorated. I loved the grounds. Our room opened up to the pools and we enjoyed the chairs placed on our little "patio" area so that we could sit outsideand enjoy the eveving looking at a nice pool instead of a bustling highway. . Check in was fast and hassle-free! The room was very comfortable and the beds very cozy.
Had trouble finding outlets to charge our electronics, but did discover the power strip beneath the dresser.
Breakfast was great. There were assorted pastries, belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages, bagels, cereal, boiled eggs, juices, coffee and all the condiments and fixin's you would want if you were at home. The staff was friendly and kept the bar up and waiting down to a minimum.
The only drawbacks (and they honestly are minimal for the price that we paid for the rooms) were that the sink is in the bathroom with the tub and not outside so that conceivably only one person can be in the bathroom and using the mirror, etc at a time. That is a bit inconvenient if you are sharing a room. The other thing that I might change in a perfect hotel world is that there was only one beligian waffle maker at breakfast and some people took FOREVER. It would be nice if there were two in use for future guests AND they must be situated at separate ends of the counter to prevent folks from monopolizing them both. I did have to wait 15 minutes to get my waffle, but you can't argue too much with FREE!
This hotel is very close to Kings Dominion, which was our destination, and on the way to the park we passed many of the other hotels that I had researched before settling on this one. Boy, did we make the right decision.
I highly recommend this hotel.
