Description: When the opportunity arose for a new restaurant at Broadlands, just west of Dulles Airport in Loudoun County, Virginia, it became an ideal chance to create a truly unique destination for dining. This sprawling, rustic tavern features four bars and numerous dining rooms, making the question of where to sit much more difficult than you may have expected. In the 1980s the Clyde's Restaurant Group purchased several antique heavy timber buildings destined for demolition and more than 30 years later these barns, stables, homes, and taverns were reassembled to create the complex of dining rooms for Clyde's Willow Creek Farm. The restaurant which is located on a working farm, is inviting and comfortable, stunningly decorated with original artwork, sculpture, historic artifacts and an over-the-top collection of museum quality 18th century horse-drawn carriages - most strung from the ceilings lined with solid timber struts.

“Farm feeling in a cool restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

I love going back to this restaurant. It has great atmosphere, fabulous interiors and great staff that takes care of you really well. Food is modern, mostly well prepared. Menu offers a lot of choices so everyone can pick what they like. Definitely try their drinks, desserts and coffee (good espresso).

“Good Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

First time at Clyde's. It was a Monday and some wine's were 50% off. I was there with a couple people from a work conference in the area. The food was very good.

“Fell short of expectations . . . again.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

I so much want to love Clydes at Willow Creek Farm, but each time I go they continue to disappoint. While generally the service is very good, the food almost always comes up short of expectations.

Most recently my husband and I went to CWCF last weekend for dinner; he ordered the duck and I ordered the filet. I ordered my steak medium but what I was served was a well done, unidentifiable piece of grey beef. I showed the waiter, he agreed it was overcooked, took it away and I waited. By the time I got my food my husband was done with his dinner. What also disappointed me was that the restaurant manager was not the one to deliver my food or even come by to offer his apology (which customers should expect from finer establishments, which CWCF appears they strive to be).

While CWCF does have a nice atmosphere, it is not enough to sustain my business anymore. I really do hope they get their act together and begin to be more consistent with the quality of their food because they could really be a great restaurant.

“Dependably good food in a beautiful setting!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

The various Clyde's locations around the D.C. area are dependable stand-bys for variety and quality of their menus, decor and service, but this location is unique in the chain, and well worth a little extra driving distance for us. The restaurant consists of four 18th- and 19th-century farm buildings disassembled in Vermont and elsewhere, and later relocated here, then integrated into one sprawling, comfortable, complex. Combined with farm- and horse-themed decor, multiple fireplaces, and tasteful furnishings, the restaurant is full of character and charm. The food is varied and always good. I have tried a wider variety of menu items at their other locations, because, admittedly, most of my visits to Willow Creek Farm have been with kids and family for their great burgers (and in particular, their unbeatable Saturday afternoon half-price burger deal). This weekend's version (the WCF burger) consisted of grass-fed beef topped with grilled corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and thousand island dressing, in a sesame-seed bun-- cooked just as requested, and most satisfying! The service here shines-- kid-friendly, too. (And I even heard two friends both comment on how nice the roomy restrooms were-- so Clyde's pleases on all fronts.) In nice weather, we have enjoyed dining on their spacious patio. Four and a half stars!

“Saturday Afternoon Burgers!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

I like this place, great feel for families or for couples or large gatherings. Its a huge place, w/ a bunch of different rooms, so there's a spot for just about anybody. I've eaten here for dinner, and the food is decent, but a bit overpriced...HOWEVER, on Saturdays from 11 to 3 the grass fed beef burgers are all 1/2 price, and they are outstanding. That's when we go regularly, and I highly recommend it for that.
