I ate in the restaurant the first night I arrived. Service was pitifully slow, my food was not as ordered (wings were breaded when I told they were not). I was not offered credit. Secondly, my room was disgusting. The sofa had a huge stain, something had been spilled inside the refrigerator and never cleaned, the carpet was dirty and there were unidentifiable items on the carpet (dried shrimp heads?), the ceiling was peeling, and the room smelled like a cheap hotel. The atrium noise was very high. Kids were running around with no one asking them to keep it down. The internet never worked properly -- pitiful. Lastly, the room was to be billed to a corporate card, since I am a new employee and cannot expenses things yet. Now I have a $900 charge on my credit card. I am a Marriott Platinum Elite, and I would never consider staying at a Hilton hotel again based on this experience.
