Overall, the Ashburn Ice House is a nice facility with plenty of seating, convenient dining and restrooms, and a unique atmosphere. The biggest issue is how they handle emergencies that occur in their facility. We were there for a hockey tournament this weekend and a member of our family got hurt during the game, laying motionless on the ice. The staff didnt call for an ambulance until after checking with the manager who was not in the building, all while the player lay on the ice. Luckily, it wasnt something more serious. After the player was taken away, another players parent asked a staff member why it wasn't called sooner, they said that someone on the ice should have called, even though we wouldnt have known the address. They need to revisit their procedures for handling situations like these, before something even worse happens.
