there are quite a few sets of playgrounds in the same-ish area. I like to take the kids there, but when you have more than one it can get tough to keep up with them. They'll run from playground to playground, but for the most part you can always see them. I love the trees all around and the paths, and it's quite a ways from any cars which is great.

Fun park with lots of equipment along the Walking trail. Surrounded by trees, but bring bug spray for humid days and evenings. The kids love it.

- Batting cages
- In-line hockey rink
- full service concession stand (hot dogs, etc)
- GREAT playground in the woods between the sports fields and the W&OD trail. It has a large mulched area with several jungle gyms for kids of different ages. There are swingsets too.

Only drawback: Ticks. It's in the woods, and you must be on the lookout for ticks (Loudoun County is a Lyme Disease hot zone).

Ashbirn is becoming a bedroom community littered with shopping plazas and very few parks. The residents of the county seem to pass every bill for schools but will vote down parks and R&R. This is an OK park. The area needs more. Not worth a trip
