We had dinner here based on: 1. a favorable review in the Washingtonian Magazine and 2. a rave review of the crab cakes by a Washington Post reporter.
It's a cute little place at the end of a strip mall, the atmoshpere felt like a nicer version of Ruby Tuesdays or TGIF. However, the food was AMAZING! My husband said the crab cake was better than the one at Oceanaire downtown. My son said the traditional lobster roll was one of the best he's had. My daughter has seafood allergies and ordered the hamburger. It was a very good burger, on par with Five Guys. I had the fish and chips and it was very good; light, crispy and fresh.
Be sure to order the Maine Chips. They are New England Nachos: hot, handcut potato chips with butter, lobster and a bit of chopped tomato. It sounded weird, but they are addictive.
The staff could not have been nicer, and they gave good recomendations for food.
It is not a big place, but there is a bar, with bar music, so it's loud, but we enjoyed our meal and will be back.
