“Good Hotel in Washington suburbs and fantastic staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2011

Stayed at this hotel recently while attending a business conference. It is a good hotel just next to washington DC. The best part of the hotel is its highly professional staff who would go overboard to make sure your requirements are met. The rooms and the bathroom were however a bit small compared to normal sheraton standards. There are malls close to the hotel where you can get every of your needs. Other than this there is nothing negative that i found with the hotel. The beds were highly comfortable. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Oh, and forgot to mention that the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service to the Metro Station.

1.For the price ($189 night) I was expecting a bit more luxury.
2. Room was large enough for, but did not have, micro/fridge.
3. Carpet full of large stains. Maids need to learn to run a crevice tool around the baseboards. Generally dirty.
4. Single sink only.
5. Had to run shower for 10-15 minutes each AM before getting hot water, no kidding. We soon learned to jump in one person after the other once the temperature was right.
6. A certain front desk personnel - name withheld - was downright nasty when presented with a problem; argumentative, not helpful.
7. When I bought a coffee or a beer, the price was different every day. Kind of fishy.
8. The restaurant was overpriced and the food was terrible.
The only plus this place offers is the free shuttle van to the nearest Metro station, otherwise it would have been unbearable.

The staff is very nice and super professional. We got a room on the 10th floor with a super view on DC. We used the shuttle all the time we stayed here and it was very punctional. also the pool with guard was very relaxing after a whole day of walking around in DC. Wen in the area we will stay here again.

Got this hotel on a discount website and it was pretty good value. The shuttle was convenient, even tho sometimes it would not be quite on time even tho the drive to the metro station and hotel is only like 5 minutes. Pentagon city (shuttle stop) has a good variety of shopping and is only a short ride to the mall where all the attractions are.

The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and nice. We had a double room. It is a little small, but has nice furnishings and decor. The beds are very comfortable. The room has a digital thermometer for the AC, which was really nice. My only major complaint about the room is that the bathroom is really small. We used the shuttle service and that worked fairly well. The first day we were there, they did not make the scheduled 11:15 pick up. We waited until about 11:30pm and called the hotel. They sent someone over quickly. The next morning, we waited in the shuttle for about 15 minutes before someone came and took us to the metro stop. It is only a 4-5 min ride to the metro stop, which was really convenient. All in all, we had a great stay at this hotel. I'm glad that we used Priceline, and got the room for $90 a night. I definitely would not have paid the $257 price that was listed on the website.

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a room facing the city. The view from the 16th floor is awesome, so try to get...

We got the king bed room - nice-sized room, good enough bed, nice bath area. Pulling up to get registered is not that easy if there are a lot of cars. It is a fairly narrow area. Only two people at the front desk, but once served, they were very professional and competent. Nice bar area on first floor. Food is priced fairly - not too expensive. Room service is a bit more pricey than other hotels. Not pleased to pay $20/day to park our car. So, very glad we pricelined in at $99/night. $15 - $20 cab ride to Hart Senate Bldg.

We stayed at the hotel for just two days when my son was attending the GYLC conference in Washington and the hotel was hosting the same.My son who stayed longer than us was all praise for the staff of the hotel who were extremely obliging and sensitive to the students' needs. It is extremely convenient for a business traveller and also for a tourist as it is quite close to the important monuments. As for restaurants, the malls close by are a fun place to hag out for shopping and a great meal!
