“Great location with great staff.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

Arrived to a very friendly reception. Rode in on a motorcycle, dripping wet and tired. Asked and got the room we requested. Rooms were well laid out with fridge and coffee making facilities. Very clean and the beds will make you want to stay in them all day, very comfortable. Staff were helpful, informative and very profesional throughout our stay. Met all our wants and needs throughout our stay. Would highly reccomend.

Room Tip: We were on the 9th floor overlooking Washington. 965 I believe. Loved it.

Attended a funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. The arrangements were for 9:00 AM so we arrived the day before to ensure we would be on time for the service. The check in process was laser fast and the staff could not have been any nicer. Our room was clean and comfortable. Dinner was in the hotel's restaurant and the waiter was very attentive. Our food was served promptly and hot. Later that night the entire family and guests attending met for drinks in the hotel's bar. Once again....the staff was great. We were offered a late check-out the next morning by the hotel so we could come back from the burial attend the luncheon catered by the hotel and then change our clothes before packing up for the trip home. This hotel was very convenient to the cemetery and a short walk over the bridge and you were in Georgetown. All and all it was the perfect place to stay and made even better by the comfortable and clean accommodations and the wonderful staff.

Visited it for a training, and had to stay in a hotel. Nice views if you're u are high up, small rooms for what they charge, no free wifi in the room but very helpful staff. Very old outdated hotel, with a bit of a sad pool, and ok bar. It is fine for work but really woudnt stay here if i could avoid it next time. Nice beds though;)

Room Tip: The higher you are the better the view, obviously, ask for a view of the river and Georgetown

Green Features: Basic, nothing extra, the appearance of environmental friendliness more than anything, but nothing substantial.

The staff is wonderful. We have been coming here for years and it has a wonderful pool but the building is a disaster and it only gets worse every visit. Now in the middle of a DC summer, the air conditioning does not work! One time it took 2 days to fix--this time it took 2 days to get a fan! They are aware and have not fixed it ahead of summer because they were full! They did get new sheets--there were not large holes this time but the mattresses are horrible! Lots of tour groups so they will continue to stay in business but not the place a platinum rewards member wants to stay! After 6 years, we are finding another Marriott!

Each person we have encountered has been extremely friendly and helpful. The lady at the Concierge desk is AMAZING!!! She goes above and beyond to make sure your needs are met. She arranged a site seeing trip for us and made sure we were on the bus before it left. The lady who cleaned out room is by far the kindest housekeeper we have ever seen. She greeted us with a huge smile every time we saw here. This is a well kept older property, that is staffed with extremely nice people.

I have really mixed feelings on this hotel. The first time we stayed, was for a week, and it was a great experience!! Free wifi, cheap parking, close to the metro.

The hottub was also really warm and the lifeguards were nice that stay. The room was mediocre, nothing great.

The most recent stay was a bit of an issue. The staff (of the main hotel) was super friendly for the most part. However our room smelled a bit like cigarettes, and the toilet would not flush (they did fix it).

The hottub was unfortunately down for maintenance, and the next day closed for "inclement weather". The lifeguard (some guy with raging chest hair who didn't care about his job obviously) was rude when I asked if they would reopen. I then asked the front desk if it would re-open, she seemed uninterested, and said "we don't control that".

Maybe the remedial crew was on this weekend, but Marriott you have some staffing issues to resolve. I'd like to give this place another shot, only because of your select staff that has been super helpful and courteous.

Stayed two nights. 11th floor facing Rossyln. Room had feathers although I requested feather free room. Maid service changed out bedding for second night. friendly front desk staff. restaurant food not bad. better than your normal hotel fare. pricey though! Room adequate. picture in bathroom molding due to humidity. comfortable bed. great location. odd message on tile in shower said "place shower curtain inside tub!" felt a bit like I was showering in a locker room with signage in the shower/tub.

building is old. maintained well though...I would stay here again.
