“Its ok, but...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

Day one of five. Location great for city access but you get the pleasure of hearing the very many aircraft landing st Reagan International and they land all night.

If you want a room with a view then avoid 482. Unless you like a view of other rooms and a side viewvof the pool area. The Keybridge is obviously an older hotel with a "newer" addition. The addition does not appear to be that new. The staff is friendly. Our room is a standard hotel room from the 1980's. The bathtub has had obvious repairs. The table on wheels in the room had not been pulled out to be cleaned inbetween guests as we found a sales reciept from a previous guest that they missed just sitting there. My son found several girls hair ties as well.

The Revival restaurant was closed a little before 5:00pm so these two hungry travellers were forced to eat in the Connexion Lounge. If you have kids do not let them order lemonade. They make it using sour mix, water and sugar. It is horrid. The chicken quesadilla however has lots of chicken. If you are from the southwest you will not like it. The guac is packaged and tastes like it.

More tomorrow.

Room Tip: Don't choose 482.

I love this hotel, especially in summer for indoor/ outdoor pool.

Convenient location for metro, away from city rush.

Was full over the July 4th holiday, so they were not up to par as they usually are.

History to this hotel is great and the management can tell you about it. Second oldest Marriott, but oldest in existance.

May be time for a refresher though.

Get a city view. Worth the upgrade.

This hotel was very clean and well kept. The staff all were very friendly except for the lady that checked us out on our final day. There was some confusion on the bill since we decided to come a day early. Once the gentlemen that started our transaction understood what was going on he did his best to smooth over her rudeness. There was some airplane noise but that's too be expected considering the location and price. The pool area was excellent and so was the parking garage. Overall we had a very nice stay.

Rooms here were almost $200/night less expensive than rooms just a short distance away. It is about 2 blocks from the metro, so everything in downtown dc is convenient. Parking is about half that elsewhere, and rooms are large. I was not as disrupted by airplane noise as other reviewers.

We returned to the Key Bridge Marriott in Arlington, Virginia this weekend after an August 2012 wedding stay at the hotel. The big draws for us here were location and ample parking. We knew where it was, we knew we would walk .3 miles to the Rosslyn Metro station (orange and blue lines) and walk into Georgetown, across the Key Bridge. My midsize SUV with roof rack also fit comfortably into the parking garage, connected by a short covered walkway to the hotel, which was very useful on the second day of our stay when it was pouring rain. We also met up with a school group that was touring DC here. The two downsides we noted were the room air conditioning still left the room quite muggy and the large number of school students staying here. Even though we were coming here to be with school students (being a teacher, I expected it), this could be a draw back for some (not for us, but if you are reading this, it could be for you). We enjoyed the Key Bridge Marriott staff and the bartender comped us free soft drinks and dessert due to a kitchen delay and was very apologetic. It was also easy to navigate to get to by car and is frequented by cab service.

Location of the hotel was good with a short walk over the bridge to Georgetown for shopping and loads of restaurants. We stayed for 7 nights as part of a group. The group rate was excellent value. The rooms were spacious and well fitted, fitness center well equipped, and generally the hotel has all that's required for a very pleasant stay.
The downside of the hotel is the charge $16.00 for Internet in the rooms as internet is only free in the lobby. The service in the lobby bar was very slow in both getting the attention of the staff, placing the order all the way through to paying the bill. The tables were never cleared of plates and dishes when the meal was finished (the same poor service at breakfast) unless a specific request was made.
The room keys kept having to be replaced as the door lock would not read the card. This was very frustrating having to repeatedly return to the reception to have the door card re-activated.
Not sure I would return to the Marriott.

Conveniently located in Arlington just across the Key Bridge from Georgetown. Stayed for one night recently and enjoyed the location for shopping and dining and of course all the hype that goes with Georgetown.

One of the highlights at the Key Bridge Marriott was a surprisingly superb Beef Filet Mignon enjoyed in the lobby bar (Conexxion). We were provided two menus, one from the bar and one from the Restaurant Revival which was closed for the evening. We chose from the Revival menu and enjoyed one of the finest and well cooked steaks ever eaten anywhere!! The bar/lounge is modern and comfortable.

Regarding the pool area kudos to the designers!! There is an outdoor and indoor pool which is heated and a superb 19 seater hot tub which was HOT! Understanding the regions weather this design is simply great and will be most appreciated in colder seasons.

In certain areas the hotel is showing its age and one must remember that this is the first Marriott to be opened! We had a room in the tower of the hotel on the 12th floor which had impressive views of the DC skyline and Potomac.

If you are a VERY light sleeper it may be helpful for you to know that there is usually a plane going overhead every few minutes either landing or taking off from National - we travel a lot so earplugs solved the problem!

We found this to be a great choice for its location since we really enjoy Georgetown and would stay there again.
