“Good hotel, pricey restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

I went to Washington DC on a school field trip this February. The hotel is a very good option for this type of trips, being so close to the main historical sites and memorials. The room was very nice, clean and big. One thing I disliked was that the curtains won't close completely (and this is a design issue, not that the curtains were broken) and I like absolute darkness when I sleep. When we arrived to our rooms, my friend's bathroom had all the toiletries and gratuities he should have, but in my bathroom I only found the ones outside the shower. The next day was better, though. Close to the hotel you will be able to find (one block, maybe two away) a CVS that closes at 8 pm. and many restaurants, like the Ruby Tuesday across the street. The restaurant is very good but I'd say a bit expensive. All in all, I liked the hotel very much!

Room Tip: I stayed in the rooms facing the main street and it was not noisy or such.

The beds, particularly the sheets, were amazing here! The walk-in shower was huge and luxurious as well. Internet was $9.95 per day, which is ridiculous. As a hotel that frequently hosts business travelers, internet should be included in the price of the room.

This hotel is steps from the Rosslyn Metro station, and within walking distance of the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery.

The bar has some pretty decent happy hour specials and the restaurant is over-priced but DELICIOUS! The breakfast buffet is a must!

Thank you Lauren for taking the time to share this feedback. I am glad to see you enjoyed the comfort of your room and bath. We are fortunate to also have a great location for travelers who want the convenience of getting around in DC and Georgetown. We do charge a lower price than our partner hotels in this area for the internet, which is necessary to cover the costs associated with providing that service. I do hope however that does not deter your return for another visit, so you can enjoy more of what the Hyatt has to offer. Thank you for your patronage and for your time to share this experience.

Got a great deal thru Groupon--$59 per night--which if you add in the $20 per night of parking actually brought it up to $79. Still a great deal considering the closeness to the Metro station. When staying at a hotel my main concern is cleanliness--which this hotel was very clean and well maintained. Only complaint was the noise which has also been stated by other visitors. Did not hear other people thru the walls but was awakened each morning by slamming doors. Not just doors close by but doors that were wayyyy down the hallway. Boom Boom Boom--all morning. This should be something that the hotel should address. Besides that--our stay was good and would return again--but next time with ear plugs

Thank you for your time in sharing your experience. It was great to see that you enjoyed one of our great deals and our staff delivered on the service and cleanliness aspects. I do regret that your room was adjacent to a student tour group, which departed early for their day of sight seeing. Since you are planning a return trip, please contact us directly upon finalizing your travel plans, so we can insure you receive the perfect room for your stay. Thank you again for your time and feedback.

We stayed on night, good location, very good bed, linens, towels. Friendly and helpful staff, especially Mohamed and other valet. You gave good directions for us to find Highway 495, and a very enjoyable drive, too. We stayed on the third floor and there was a microwave next to the ice machine. It might come handy when you want to heat food up. The fridge in the room was nice to have, too. Safe was appreciated. Room was quiet, and the compementary business center was good. Too bad no free Wifi in the room. Self parking at $20 was not too bad and easy enough to do. We had an early check up, much appreciated, and it was fast, as was check out.

Traveling with my Parish to visit Catholic Pilgimage Sites During the Year of Faith. It was very convenient to the National Shrine, and the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land. It was also relatively convenient to the Verizon center (enjoyed watching Georgetown beat Rutgers in BB).
The staff were friendly and helpful and security is ok since you need a key to use elevators after 8p.m. The biggest disadvantage I saw was that there was no convenient parking for a BIG tour bus. He had to park several blocks away and pay a lot to park the bus. We had a nice private dining room for a private breakfast the morning were to leave. The food was hot, delicious and a good value to our package.

Room Tip: There are rooms with great views and those looking at rooftops. You need to ask at the front desk an...

Unfortunately I have had bad luck at this particular hotel. It is VERY conveniently located for access to the Metro, just a 5 minute walk up the hill from the Rosslyn station on the blue (and orange) line. Its easy to get to Reagan airport or into the city, or you can walk across the bridge to Georgetown. Unfortunately the hotel itself disappoints. Rooms are loud, TV's buzz, service is so-so. It is reasonably priced, but it really isn't a luxury quality hotel despite being a Hyatt.

Very close to Roselyn metro station. Maybe 10-15 min from Lincoln Memorial. A lot of restaurants close by to choose from: great pizza up the street, Ruby Tuesdays across the street. Nice staff. Not a lot going on in the evening though- seems to be business oriented place and dies down in the evening. I would def recommend this hotel for short stay close to DC.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to your future return visits. When you return to the area, you can check out a wide variety of restuarnats, shops and entertainment venues within a short walk or a cab ride. Always hopping Georgetown is just 2 miles away across the Key bridge and with the metro across the street, you can take the blue or orange lines just one stop for a greater assortment of fun places to see and hang out at. Thank you again for your feedback.
