Our family stayed at the Executive Club Suites in Arlington in July of 2002 when we travelled to DC for vacation. The room was very nice for 2 adults and 2 kids, with a separate bedroom and a pull-out couch in the living room. The kitchen facilities were great, and we made use of them often. The swimming pool and courtyard were also very useful, as it was 95-100 degrees the whole time we were there. The deluxe continental breakfast every morning was wonderful, as was the BBQ that was scheduled for mid-week for all guests. Even though we were not within walking distance of a Metro station, we made good use of the Hotel's shuttle service to get to either the Rosslyn or Petagon stations, so that we could easily sighsee in our nation's Capitol. Only issue was they catered to extended stay guests (mostly Military) so they were pretty rigid on the shuttle schedule. Once we realized that, we adjusted it to fit our needs. Finally, when we wanted to watch the July 4th Fireworks from the Iwo Jima Memorial, we were able to park at the Hotel's sister complex in Rosslyn. That worked out great!
This is a very nice place to stay if you are looking for a quiet, inexpensive place close to Washington, DC.
