“Food that comforts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Ted's is a great place for comfort food. I have the luxury of being located close to this location, so I'm a regular and have tried most all of the menu items. I highly recommend (on the beef side of the house) their steaks and burgers... particularly the knife-and-fork chili cheese burger. If bison is your thing, the meatloaf and chili are exceptional. Make sure you save room for a fresh-baked cookie, the perfect size desert after such a filling meal.

“Both excellent and consistent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

I have eaten at this Ted's several times; it's a go-to place when I visit the area to visit family. They have a nice atmosphere, the menu has many selections, the prices are competitive, the service is usually quite good, and they are tolerant of my very young grandchildren. There are no doubt times when the restaurant is full, but we've never had to wait past a very few minutes. The restaurant is clean and well maintained, including the restrooms. There is a full bar. You can get buffalo meat in place of beef on almost any beef entrée. It's been very consistent on every visit, and we always enjoy dining there. Casual clothes are fine.

“Good Steak Salad, Slightly Over-Priced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

My husband and I stopped in for dinner one night. I ordered the Balsamic Bleu Salad (Grilled Certified Angus® beef sirloin, mixed greens, cucumber, crumbled Bleu cheese, smoky bacon, sliced vine-ripened tomatoes and a sweet balsamic glaze, topped with crispy fried onion straws) and my husband ordered the Bison Meatloaf (two hearty slices with brown gravy, garlic mashed potatoes and “Aunt Fannie's” squash casserole). The steak salad was delicious with perfectly cooked sirloin and a sweet dressing. The meatloaf was average as were the sides.
The service was good—never had to wait too long for a request yet no hovering. The meal was a little over-priced for the quality of the food. Overall, it was an average restaurant one that I wouldn’t mind stopping in for a drink but probably not for dinner.

“Basin Steak is just awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

I have never tasted basin until now and the taste was awesome and unforgettable. I had the medium cooked rib eye which was a little on the dry side and I should have taken the suggestion from the server to get a medium or medium rare. The seasonal dessert was super and everything was so perfect for my last night of the business trip!

“OK. reliable choice in Crystal City”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

Ted's Montana Grill is an acceptable choice in Crystal City. For lunch, the menu consists of an extensive selection of hamburgers, other grilled sandwhiches, and entree salads. You have a choice between beef and bison. Service was not that great. We were a group of five men in suits, arriving after the lunch rush. After the initial drink service, the waitress made no attempt to refresh iced tea and water. In fact, after the entrees were delivered, the waitress was jot seen again other than to deliverbthe bill. There are likely better choices along Crystal Drive.
