“Great Tapas Selection and atmosphere!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2014 via mobile

Best to come with adventuresome friends and everyone get at least one dish they have never had! The pan con tomato, potatas bravas, and flautas hamon are my favorites. Don't overlook the cheese selections either. Everything here is good. If the weather permits, dine alfresco... And don't skip the wine!

“Not for large groups”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

We went here with a business group of nine. Luckily, we weren't in any hurry, because this was really not the place to go if we had been.

First, serving the dishes was completely disorganized. Every dish came at a random time. All of mine were served early, some of the others didn't get their first dish until half an hour later. The servers who came out didn't know who had ordered what, and often we didn't either, because it was hard to tell (for example) which shrimp dish matched what on the menu. And at least three dishes were forgotten until we asked about them at the end (because how would you know they were forgotten until the very end, since everything came at a random time?)

We asked up front for separate checks - admittedly, this is kind of a hassle with a large group, but the solution was, bizarrely, to have us all figure out our own bill by hand, using two checks, labelled with a shorthand for each dish. Sheesh - it wasn't a huge task, but making everyone do a brain-teaser after dinner was just weird, and added another 20-30 minutes to the whole experience.

The food itself was pretty good on the whole - I had a salmon cruda which was delightful, and a wonderful salad (served at the end of the meal because it was forgotten, but still...). The bacon-wrapped dates missed the mark, unfortunately - they were deep fried, which was an oops. I'd give Jaleo a better mark based only their food, but with the poor service, three stars it is.

“All good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2014

If weather permits, get an outside table. Order a bunch of plates and a bottle of wine. Enjoy unforgettably delicious, authentic tapas with friends. I can't wait to return!
