“Very solid hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012

The Le Meridien in Arlington does a good job as an understated and modern hotel. It shares the building with a condominium, whose residents also use the hotel's gym - and parking. The rooms are small in the hotel, but well done. The bathroom was adequate, but not finished as nicely as the rest of the room (small cosmetic details such as cheap looking tile). Rooms are quiet and the staff is professional. The parking garage is also used by the condo and apparently also for monthly parkers working in the area. As the lot was full when I came back during an afternoon I had to valet park, which is more expensive. Also, while having a nice gym for a hotel no towels were offered - which raises some ick factor on the equipment. Overall, a good value for the money.

I was upgraded to a suite once and it was amazing - I wish I was able to take advantage of the HUGE jacuzzi at the time. But even the regular rooms are great. Nicely designed and great views of Georgetown and the Potomac. Breakfast is just right. There are plenty of places to eat in Rosslyn/Courthouse area nearby and Georgetown is just a hop across the bridge. Plenty of places to park later at night and easy access to major highways as well as the Rosslyn Metro. Make sure you check out Chopt - I am sold on those salad creations joints! There was one night where I was awakened by loud voices coming from the vent in the bathroom - must've been from an adjoining room. Didn't last long, and not that big a deal. Front desk is very helpful.

Let me begin by saying 'I've had some really bad hotel experiences'. For that reason, I don't choose to stay at any hotel without researching the hotel thoroughly and reading a ton of reviews from others who have firsthand experience at a particular hotel.

This hotel was an excellent choice. We love visiting DC, but we hate the high hotel rates and the metro makes staying in Arlington very convenient. This hotel was a short walk to the Rosslyn Metro. Although there aren't many shopping spots nearby, food was easy to find within walking distance.

There's a delicious spot on the corner (Cosi) and we enjoyed breakfast there before walking to the Metro. Upon check-in, the staff was ready and willing to assist us. Mohammed (whom so many reviewers have mentioned his outstanding service) was extremely attentive upon arrival after our long 5 hour drive (to include an hour stuck in traffic). He told us how to access less expensive self-parking instead of the hotel's valet parking since we were not using our vehicle to
travel about the City.

The hotel has a beautiful 'posh' feel and smells wonderful from the time you enter the door. Check-in was a breeze and the front desk staff was super courteous. The hotel was quiet and I felt safe in our cute and spotless room. I will say that you should ask if the room has a double vanity in the bathroom if you need extra space. Our room which was an advance purchase rate of $99/night featured only a single vanity which did not allow enough countertop space for my things.

Overall, I can't say enough about our delightful stay at Le Merdien. Even on the day we were leaving, the door attendant (James I think) gave us much easier directions to access the highway than my GPS or Mapquest directions. Again, from start to finish this was an ideal hotel for our DC vacation, making it a great trip!

Room Tip: Ask about the room view since the hotel does faces an office building on one side.

If you don't like a first class hotel over-looking the Potomac River with views of Georgetown, you wouldn't like this hotel!
We spent the night in Arlington, VA in order to have easy access to a Metro station for the Fourth of July fireworks at the Washington Monument. Eventhough we wanted easy access (and got that....the station is 2 blocks from the hotel), the hotel was pleasantly surprising. We were able to reserve a suite room on the 8th floor and the views were outstanding. I agree with one of the other posts who said the hotel's attention to detail was off the charts. I especially liked the layout of the room, which had a separate living room and master bedroom with an exceptionally large bathroom (complete with shower AND Jacuzzi tub). This hotel is ultra-modern, so if you're expecting a boring Holiday Inn, you might want to stay somewhere else! My only complaint about this hotel was the front desk staff. We arrived at the hotel at 1:30pm and really wasn't expecting our room to be ready. The staff told us the room should be ready by 2:30 and I even gave them my cell phone number to call me when it was ready. Needless to say, I didn't get into the room until 4pm. If they can correct the bottle-neck at the front desk, this could be one of the area's best hotels.

Room Tip: Reserve the suite! It's a small condo!

We stayed here on July 4, 2012 for 107 per night.
Parking was very easy and very convenient.
Hotel is located about 2 blocks from the Metro Station.
Several eateries are nearby.
Hotel Lobby is located on the 4th Floor and it does not have a pool. :(

Rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated. The kids were noticing the light fixtures, faucets, chairs, sheets, you name it! Everything in the room was very nice!!

Would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Le Meridien Arlington on June 15, 2012. We were celebrating our third wedding anniversary. The attention to detail was amazing. We were upgraded to a suite with a view of Georgetown and the Potomac. The room was incredible. We enjoyed all of the amenities of the hotel, (convienent parking, great location, extremely friendly and knowledgable staff and fantastic room with views!!).

We checked in late and a bottle of champagne was waiting for us with a welcome note from the GM. How impressive was that on on our anniversary!!!

Upon check in we were greeted by a professional and friendly staff and as I mentioned upgraded to a suite!!! The staff was so accomodating. Due to the restaurant being closed when we arrived we inquired about local restaurants and the staff had all the right answers. We decided to take their advice and order in for Pizza a a great little local shop.

Our stay could not have been better. I am looking forward to returning. Hopefully sooner than later.

Room Tip: Book at this hotel for a great location, luxury and great staff.
