I stayed at this hotel for 24 days. For the most part I enjoyed my stay. The room was fabulous for extended stay. Kitchenette with full size fridge w/icemaker, sink with disposal, dishwasher, stove & microware, silverware, pots & pans. Granite countertops in room and bathroom. Spacious sitting area. The gym was also spacious with 3 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, 2 bikes, full free weights set. Free buffet breakfast every morning and free buffet dinners on M, T, W, nights. Location was in walking distance to an AMC theater, restaurants and quick drive to Ft Myer. One of the big negatives was the internet was so slow! I used the wireless and their wired network with the same slowness. (Almost like dial-up most of the time.) I asked about the slowness and they said "that just how it is." Which leads me to my next gripe...most of the desk staff could use a lesson in customer service. Not all of them, but most of them acted put off by the slightest question or request. Also, count on an additional $12 a night for parking.

“Enjoyed the Arlington Residence Court”

Arlington Residence Court

Feb 14, 2008

We spent one week in late January at the Arlington Resident Court. We had a three bedroom suite. We paid less for the three bedroom suite than we would have paid for two standard rooms at other hotels. The room was very nice and had been recently updated. The fabrics, carpets, furniture, etc, were in very good condition.

We had great maid service every day and the room was always cleaned very well. We took advantage of the meals offered and ate breakfast every morning. We also enjoyed the light dinner they offer three nights a week.

The location is only about 2 blocks from the metro station. I know some have complained that the walk is up hill, but it is a very easy walk. The biggest down side to this property is that there is not an indoor pool.

Overall we loved our stay here and would definitely return.

Went on vacation from October 21-24 to visit Washington D.C. I researched rates for the area and deciced we'd stay on the outskirts of D.C. in Arlington, VA where the rates seemed to be a little more reasonable. We absolutely made the right decision. The Metro station was right up the street, like a five minute walk, so getting to D.C. was a breeze and right there by the station were several restaurants/bars, fast food(taco bell, wendy's, subway) pizza, and a 24hr CVS. But as it turns out we didn't really eat out too much because the hotel served what I thought was a really good complimentary hot breakfast and dinner. I'm talking a real breakfast, not continental. And the dinners were equally delicious as well- stuffed chicken w/spinach and mushroom, wild rice, salad, veggies, etc...A real nice meal for free we thought. The rooms were quite large, nicely decorated, with queen beds, and a nice kitchen w/a regular sized fridge, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker. All in all I'd say this is probably one of nicest hotels we have stayed at- for the value and location, you can't beat it.

I can confirm what the others say; this place was amazing. The quality of the place was far beyond it's price bracket.
Everyone has already explained how great the rooms are. Here are a few other comments:
* It's in a very HILLY part of Arlington, so it's a steep walk (but pretty short) to the train station.
* They have a good secure system for storing your bags if you arrive earlier than check-in time or if you check out in the morning but want to return later for your bags.
* They have a handy pantry system at the reception area where you can buy snacks and very simple grocery-style fast food.
* the free breakfast was really nice but it's a bit like McDonalds: - you feel sort of pressured to eat up and get out - not a place for a leisurely start to the day. But the food is great and plentiful.

Large rooms with full kitchens. There is a terrific complimentary hot breakfast on the top floor. They do need to have additional help at the front desk. There was a 15 minute wait just to check in.
