My husband who is a foodie, heard about this place from a new co-worker who had highly recommended it. Never having Bolivian food before, we headed out there. We looked up feedback for the restaurant before, and it was very good. True to their word, they said it was an unassuming little gem. While we were expecting good food due to the comments and recommendations, it far exceeded our expectations. The food was far different than any other Latino dishes we had before.
The waitress was friendly and proficient, and service was fast.
The servings were generous. Both of us had for an appetizer one Saltena which was so good we took two to go. It was a special authentic Bolivian recipe turn-over with beef. I had the Soltero which is tin steak served with very large hominy, mashed potato, onion and tomato salad. Very good! My husband had the Silpancho which is breaded steak served with two eggs poached just right, rice, yummy french fries, onion, tomatoes and jalapeno salad. The breaded steak was the best we ever had, and I plan on ordering it next time also.(It was so good I ate half of my husbands!) I had the lemonade. My husband had Moqochinchi which is a drink made from dried peach and cinnamon. It was so good he had two, and next time I will get it also. My husband also ordered Asado Borracho, which is a soup done in beer sauce with onions, tomatoes, green pepper etc. He said it was very good. We will definitely return, and tell our friends about this restaurant.
