“Tasty Food, Good Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Excellent bread made on premise, and love the garlic sauce. Shrimp entree and salmon entree were good and tasty. Can't say the noisy couple with two children were a great addition to the experience, but the restaurant cannot be responsible for this. I will go back and hope for a quieter experience, sans naughty little girl.

“A Tasty Cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

If you’re looking for a flavorful meal, try Lebanese. And, if you’re going to try Lebanese, go to Lebanese Taverna Restaurant in Arlington. The food has a unique blend of Middle Eastern spices that make this a great cuisine. Cumin, coriander and cardamom are just some of the possibilities
Like me, try the sampler to immerse yourself in a variety of dishes. For $13 at lunch you can experiment. It starts with the fresh hot bread. Bread that comes in handy to make your own “hot pocket”
The service was great and the aroma is mouth watering. The prices are moderate. Give yourself time for dessert.

“An Old Favorite Rediscovered”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

An Old Favorite Rediscovered

For some reason we’ve not visited the Lebanese Taverna in the Westover area for quite some time. Last week we were scouting our thoughts for a place to go for dinner and this old favorite popped into our heads. When we arrived we were greeted into the restaurant and seated immediately. The tables were tight and the place was hoppin’, but our waiter was at our table instantly and before we knew it, we were enjoying delicious martinis of two different flavors with our Baba ghanouj appetizer and complimentary fresh/hot pita bread. The restaurant’s decor has changed since our last visit, another lovely revision that exudes a warm atmosphere in a small space. Even though it was a full house when we arrived, we were able to have a nice conversation. We ordered the lamb Fatteh that was generous and the taste sensation we remembered. A serving of Tabouleh and a glass of Malbec rounded out the meal. We were too full for dessert, but our waiter surprised us with a complimentary dessert to take home. It was a delightful evening. We are putting this lovely neighborhood gem back on our top 10 list.
