“Best part of our trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

I recently chaperoned my daughter's class trip to D.C. and going to the Twilight Tattoo was the highlight of our trip. The pre-ceremony presentations were fun and got the kids involved. The presentation itself was so nice. Afterward the soldiers who were involved in the military pageant stayed and allowed the students to meet them and they posed with them for photos. And a special bonus, the day we were there they were honoring Gary Sinise for his civilian contributions to building homes for wounded soldiers. So the kids had an added bonus of meeting "Captain Dan"! Thanks for this great experience.

“Exciting and Inspiring Look at American History!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

It was a great experience to attend Twilight Tattoo. It was very inspiring watching the Drum & Fife performance and seeing the slices of military battles. The U.S. Army Drill Team was amazing as they
spun and threw and caught rifles with a bayonet! My 10 year old nephew loved it, the cannons blasting, and especially seeing Paul Revere gallopping around! I recommend getting there early, there is some walking from the parking lots to the field. Bring a chair or blanket, a cooler with water. After the performance, you can talk to the soldiers and take pictures with them. Located on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall in Arlington, Va. Twilight Tattoo is glimpse into American history through music performances by The U.S. Army Blues, vocalists from The U.S. Army Band Downrange, The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, and The U.S. Army Drill Team. This event gets very crowded with tourist groups from all over the country, espcially school groups but is very fun and action packed for the family and safe.
