I wanted a burger. A better than McDonalds burger. So I want to Johnny Rocket's and got a burger. It was a good burger (I got a #12) so at that point I got what I wanted. The price for the burger - about $6.50 - was not bad. It's the other stuff that was a poor value. I didn't order any fries, but I saw what my fellow customers got - a small plate of limp fries for about $3.50. I ordered a salad. They didn't have any small side salads, so I ordered a "Garden Salad", supposedly dinner size, at a dinner sized price for a salad without meat. It was $4.50, which is comparable to what fast food joints charge for a dinner salad with no meat. But this salad was basically the iceberg lettuce that they serve with the burgers, with the sliced tomatoes they serve with the burgers, quartered, with a bit of grated American cheese, and a package of dressing. That's it. No onion, no cucumber, no red cabbage, no grated carrot, nothing to dress it up a bit. I've had much better (bigger too) for that price at most of the major fast food joints, or a better side salad for a bit more than a dollar.
Service was fast and friendly, but who cares if the food they serve is a bad value?
