We often stay at Hampton Inns and know we can count on their quality. This was no exception. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was clean and large. The food was great with many different choices each day. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was a little on the small size and with alot of families staying here got quite crowded. The hotel had a big city feel even though we were "out of DC". We were close to the Metro stop and restaurants. We will definately stay here again.

Our 1st trip to DC and this turned out to be a great hotel. Called when we arrived at airport, sent shuttle to pick us up - free, but of course we tipped for service. Location is excellent, about 2 short blocks from Crystal City metro stop, so there is easy access to everywhere you need to go. Also within walking distance of many restaurants. The usual Hampton Inn breakfast was included each morning, so we would fill up and be good til late afternoon. We walked to local restaurants at night, highly recommend Cafe Italia. There is a CVS close by and a liquor store. Felt very safe walking around at night and would absolutely stay here again. They also have an indoor pool which we used 1 night. When we needed to leave, they called a car to take us to Union Station, only time we had to take a "taxi".

It was my first stay in a Hampton Inn, and it definitely won't be the last, at least for this property! The hotel is very convenient to both Reagan National Airport and the Crystal City shops and metro station, and the complimentary breakfast is large and quite good!
I didn't use either the airport shuttle or the fitness center/pool so I can't comment on those, but the room was very nice and quiet, plus the bed was super-comfortable!
Definitely worth a return trip!

Overall this is a clean and safe Hampton Inn with everything you expect from Hampton Inns - typical Hampton bedding, room layout, breakfast, etc. You can actually park a good size SUV or pickup in their parking garage (7 ft clearance) but, because of the small footprint of the building, it is a tight fit with support posts usually blocking at least one of the vehicle's doors when parked. The minor issues - the pool room is small so spectators will usually get wet and the pool is only open from about 6 pm to 10 pm. There is a lifeguard though, which I have never seen at a Hampton Inn before. Also, there was some issue with airflow on the main level so there were two large (about 6 ft tall) units (air movers?) that sucked air out of ceiling vents and shot it through the lobby and breakfast area. These were noisy, not pleasant to walk in front of, and meant that there was even less area to eat breakfast in. If you stay here during a busy time, plan on eating breakfast in your room. All 5 days we were there, there were long lines to get food and never enough tables to eat at. People stood in the lobby, utilized couches, etc. and still many needed to carry trays to their rooms. The breakfast staff was very good at keeping everything filled up though and worked very hard. Another problem, water pressure was terrible in our 9th floor room for the first three days (Sat, Sun, Mon) You had to stand on the drain to get the water to hit you. I would stay again, maybe asking for a lower floor, because it was clean, the staff good, and the location was very convenient. It is 1 1/2 blocks to the Crystal City Metro stop. If it is raining or cold, you can save half a block out doors by entering the lobby of the Marriot and proceeding down to the Crystal City shops and Metro station.

A nice and clean hotel. Beds are very comfortable especially after walking all day in D.C. The hotel is conveniently located - close to Reagan National Airport and only two blocks to the Crystal City Metro. There is a shuttle from the airport. The shuttle will also take you to the Metro.

Breakfast was ok. It was kind of a strange combination. Carb overload!

They also have a little reception that I think starts around 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. w/ free drinks and appetizers.

We have never had a bad experience at a Hampton Inn. Would stay here again for sure!

We just spent one night here with 2 small kids. The room was clean, typical hotel room size and the overall hotel is well kept. The breakfast the next day was just what you would expect for a continental breakfast. The location is a short walk to the train and a short train ride to Arlington National Cemetery, which we visited while here. The parking is underground and the area is safe with lots of options for eating. We would stay here again.
