“Great Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Airport shuttle took only about 15 minutes to arrive, the staff was courteous and welcoming, room and accommodations were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was hot and tasty, lots of variety. I look forward to staying again.

My husband and I stayed here during our stay in Washington. The hotel is close to the airport and other surrounding hotels. We had a hire car and didn't need to utilise the free hotel shuttle from the airport.

Check in was nice and easy, parking costs around $15 a night but we needed a car to visit other places so that didn't bother us.

The room was nice, clean, spacious and quiet. We had a King bedroom suite. We had a big lounge area with a mini kitchen and then the bed was in a separate room. The bed was comfy and the ensuite was nice but a bit small. There were TV's in the bed and lounge area.

The hotel offers cookies in the afternoon, and free buffet breakfast every morning. The buffet breakfast wasn't anything special but it did the job. They had muffins, toast, bagels, fruit, cereal, scrambled eggs, bacon.

The Crystal City train station is within easy walking distance otherwise you would need a hire car to visit Washington. There are restaurants close to the hotel and a small shopping area a short drive away.

We would stay here again if we visit Washington / Virginia and if we can get a good price again.

The location is wonderful for being near National airport; renting a car and traveling all over the area (DC, Maryland, Virginia). Staff and quality of hotel excellent (only one thing I didn't like...the bed was way too tall for a shorter person and the mattress kept slipping about). Lots of good restaurants in the area, staff friendly and helpful.

I was pleased with this hotel. The room was very nice and large. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and professional. The location is very convenient to Washington, airport, business areas. There are many restaurants around the hotel. The rate was very reasonable. I would return to this hotel!

An Older HI, Staff workign hard to be pleasant - airport shuttle took 30 minutes, after calling told on demand and hes making the rounds - turns out he was at the mall - you can walk here faster! The property is aging, older style cabinets and set ups, has the remote for Iphone/Andriod on TV - smal flat screen. Pet peeve is the liberal use of Febreeze or other perfume cleaners making the room noxious. overall a reasonable experience if you can get the right prices - pricing fluctuates daily and demand drives all the propertiesin Ctrystal City. You can walk across 20th to get to lots of resteraunts.

My wife and I stayed here during our recent stay in Washington. The room was nice and big and the bed comfortable. We found plenty of restaurants close by to satisfy our needs. The courtesy bus was appreciated in getting us from our hotel to where we could get on to the tour busses. the breakfast was typical Hampton Inn so we chose the breakfast to go. We thought this hotel was very good value for money.

Location was good, room was clean and fairly spacious. Can't beat the proximity to National airport, which is why we stayed here. Staff were friendly, wifi was free and stable. Breakfast was free but just so so. Towels were rough, and the bed absolutely horrid. It was so hard I almost got up and slept in the chair. Location and freebies are great but if you can't sleep, what's the point? Not sure if I would stay here again or not, there are several other hotels on the same street.
