I've had Lyon Hall on my to-try list for the longest time, mainly to try their mussels. We ended up for a weekday dinner and started with drinks. I wasn't too impressed with the cocktails but my dining partner seemed to love her beer. We ordered the Pho Lyon mussels (lemongrass-coconut broth), the Daube de Boeuf (grilled short ribs in smoked fig and red wine jus) and the duck fat frites. The mussels, as expected, hit the spot but the dinner winner was the beef short ribs - perfectly cooked, flavorful accompaniments, a very satisfying dish. The fries were interesting, but nothing to write home about. We didn't manage to squeeze dessert since it started raining and we were rushed in by the wait staff before we got drenched (two thumbs up!).
