“beautiful and tasty pastries”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

We stopped to get some almond croissants for breakfast the next day, but made the mistake of looking into the display cabinets. We ended up buying three Danish, a half-pound of St. Patrick's Day linzer cookies, two apple pastries, and a little fruit tart to nibble on the way home! Everything is beautifully composed and presented, and the taste is even better than the visuals, which is not always the case in sweet pastries. The sugar is not overwhelming, and the fruit or nuts or jam is fresh and balances well with the sugar and butter. What's not to like?

“Delicious Pastries, Cakes and Bread”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

I visit Pastries by Randolph at least twice a month. Thier napoleons are our family's favorites. They are so light and flavourful.

Our kids insist on Randolph's strawberry and cream cakes for their birthdays. The cream is light and "European" and makes you actually want to eat it with your tea or coffee. Unlike the icing on birthday cakes from, say, Giants which is unbearably sugary and heavy.

Except for the loafs of breads, none of the items in the store have prices on them. To prevent surprises you better ask first.

The service in the store does not add any value. But hey, as long as they hand me the pastries and the cakes and slice the bread, I am happy.

“Best Pastries in Northern Virginia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012 via mobile

This bakery has the best pastries and desserts in NoVa. Everything is good. We bought our wedding cake from this store and it was almost too beautiful too eat and was delicious. The Christmas cookies are awesome. They also sell great bread and the usual complements of desserts like their excellent fruit tarts. You can't go wrong with anything from this bakery.

“Best place around for pastries”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012

Love the Pavlova's. The almond crescent horns and double chocolate cookies/brownies are wonderful as are their single serve pastries. We have ordered several of their cakes that are quite nice for special events. It is the only bakery in the area that I would recommend for specialty pastries and cakes.
