“Fancy pizza and excellent beer list”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

This place is your typical Arlington trendy, urban, fancy, whatever it's called place. Clean, friendly and modern and a block away from the Courthouse metro stop and the movie theater. They have good pizza with organic ingredients, and an excellent very, very long beer list. Some of the beers are rather expensive, but the selection is really large, and not the standard list from AB-InBev. The pizza was excellent as well. I had the Quattro Carne and it meated me out. If you don't like what's on the list you can compose your own, which is always a plus.

In short: nice place to hang out before catching a move at the Court House theater.

“Consistently very good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

We stayed at the Residence Inn at the same building. When we got in at 8:30 we went over and walked out with pizza and salads 15 minutes later. We liked it so much we went back the following night and ate there. This time I tried the chicken Cesar salad, but it had a little too much dressing, but the fried calamari was fantastic. On night number three my son and I went back for two ice cream cookie Sundaes. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

“Interesting Place, Good Food, a Mite Pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

Fireworks is in my local rotation because they have a good wine card, serve prosecco (at an eye-popping price, mind), and the last two times have had really knowledgeable waitstaff with regard to the wines.

Fireworks' atmosphere is classier than most other Court House/Clarendon places, which I like, though the clientele often doesn't match it (see: callow, definition of). But it's youngish and mildly trendy and the food is good.

Their specialty is pizza, but I go for their appetizers (try the lamb meatballs) for the most part. 2-3 appetizers will fill you well along with a good wine to wash it down. Good friends and good bring-a-date place. It has outdoor seating, though that really resembles a pen of some sort with a metal fence. I'm not a fan.

“Great selection of draught beer and tasty food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

This is a cool, trendy restaurant. There is a very large and very popular bar area as you walk in. It's a long narrow area with plenty of seats at the bar itself where you can catch a game, and also lots of tables on the other side of the aisle that are perfect for couples or a small group of friends. If you are a beer lover (or not a beer lover with very picky taste) this is the place! Great selection of draught beer, and the hard cider is excellent also; very light and crisp as a starter.

There is also a nice dining area, and the same menu for both the dining room and the bar. We had the calamari, pizzas and rotisserie chicken - all were excellent, The calamari was especially good - some of the best I've had! The restaurant gets noisy when it's a full house, but still no problem carrying on conversations. Highly recommended.
