“Never forget”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013 via mobile

When we went it was raining on and off, mostly on, so we rushed through it. The parking was impossible, luckily the driver in our party didn't wanna see it so she dropped us off and drove around until we were finished which was about 5 minutes. So it looks like the memorials of the people who died here on 9/11 are separated by the year of their birth, there were strange statues with water underneath them and little pebbles around them. I regret not reading more while we were there, darn rain! A must see!

“Small but significant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

The outside of the memorial was a decent tribute but if you get a tour on the inside of the Pentagon you get much more from the tour guides.

“Not very attractive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Unusual design & somewhat confusing at to what the individual memorials represent. Perhaps it is more attractive in the evening. Parking is a problem....we had to go to a Macy's pay for parking garage.

“Modern memorial hard to interpret”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

This memorial is an odd one. I know it will be unpopular to disagree with the other favorable opinions especially in light of the reason for it's existence however this memorial is another attempt for the creator to outdo other memorials. It just doesn't make the mark and requires a pamphlet with explanation of its meaning. Old school memorials were more self explanatory. Abstract artists will appreciate this one.

We had limited time, but stopped at this memorial. Very well thought out. I bet it is beautiful at night
