“Friendly service, average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

We ate outside and the service was great. They even brought a dog dish with water for our dog. The food was average and not over-priced. It's a good neighborhood place for a fun lunch.

“Hidden pub/tavern/restaurant off Glebe Road...Maybe ladies shouldn't sit at the bar.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2011

A lady friend recommended this restaurant. She frequents the restaurant a lot.

It was quite noisy the night we went. There are numerous wide screen tvs around and no place to sit if you just want to talk and catch up. The food was pretty good. My friend had some salad with chicken. She could not finish it. The seafood soup was delicious. The onion rings were better than most places. The prices were reasonable, although we did not have any specials. It's somewhat hidden and probably frequented mostly by locals.

I'd visit again although my friend recommended that I never sit at the bar as she pointed out one particular waitress who she said is rude to women customers. She said every time she sits at the bar with a lady friend, that the waitress provides poor service. Maybe the men tip her better, who knows. I'd still visit, but would likely not eat at the bar.

“Unexpected surprises on the menu - try the veal schnitzel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2011

This place does not have your usual standard pub grub. While you can get good old fashioned burgers and wings, I'd suggest you try some of the other options - there is a definite german / austrian / hungarian influence to their offerings. I had the veal schnitzel which had a pickled cabbage on top of it and while I would probably not normally mix the two, the combination worked well and the schnitzel was as good as I've had anywhere. Not a 'cheap' place but not too bad either. A good assortment of beers on tap and in bottles. Liked it a lot for a local strip mall venue.

“$9 pints of draft?”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2010

Was shocked to find that the restaurant has price points equivalent to Las Vegas, Paris, and Manhattan. The restaurant in located in a strip mall in Arlington adjacent to Glebe Rd. There are multiple large flat screen televisions. Be aware of the "specials" as they are even more pricier than regular menu items but mean they are new to the restaurant. I'd recommend the other neighborhood bars/restaurants.
