“Excellent Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2011

My husband and I stayed here for the second time in a year. The front desk staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was that they keep the heat/ac controls regulated so there is very little room for you to control the temps. It was cool the weekend we were there and had to call because the a/c kept kicking on and it was too cold. Even after maintenance came and adjusted it was still too cool. Luckily there is a extra blanket in the room. The entire hotel is very quiet even though it was mostly sold out. The free continental breakfast is nice but the "hot" foods aren't really hot. Not really a big deal since there is plenty of different food. I do not drink coffee and asked for the pop machine to be turned on and they said they couldn't. The underground parking is a bit pricey but then again it's DC. The hotel is close to several restaurants (our favorite being the Cheesecake Factory) and also shopping. Metro station is very close. When our travels take us back to this area we will defintely stay here.

This hotel was extremely clean and seemed pretty new. We had a great room on the 5th floor. Check in was easy, and parking was 14$ a day which was pretty decent for the area. On the weekends, you could get away with not using hotel parking and parking in a garage nearby that had free weekend parking. The hotel is also literally one block from the elevator to the metro station. It was a short ride, I want to say 20 mins, to the Smithsonian area downtown. Very easy to get into the heart of DC from this hotel.

The parking garage is pretty decent, and feels safe.

The complimentary breakfast was nice.

Definitely recommend this hotel whether you are staying for an extended period (the kitchens are in GREAT condition) or a quick girl's weekend like we did.

I have to agree with the reviews. I was not plannng on staying here. I wanted to stay at the Residence Inn Pentagon City but they were full. So I had a look at this hotel's reviews and decided it was worth the chance. My experience at this hotel is similar to many reviewers. My room was huge. Location is just a block from a Metro station, and shops and restaurants are nearby. A CVS is open 24 hours. The room has a safe big enough to store your computer. Breakfast was free and good-quality food. Internet was free and reliable.

I certainly would stay here again.

This is a great new hotel. It is very clean and contemporary. There is a secure parking garage below and several restaurants, shopping, etc. within walking distance. Nice neighborhood with many things to do.

We had a two bedroom suite plus living room with kitchen. Very comfortable beds, clean, and amazing staff who did everything possible to make our stay pleasant.

Worst things were the horrible feather free pillows (Im allergic to feathers), the lobby smelled a bit of chlorine (assumed the pool was nearby ), we were told the comp breakfast started earlier than it actually did, and a lil noise from the neighbors but hey it was New years Eve and it didnt last long into the wee hours. Sooooo not bad:) The room looked cool and inviting, nothing seemed out of place, if you are staying for a long period there seemed to be adequate supplies. Customer service seemed attentive, cordial and professional and not mad to be working. You have to have a key to access the elevators up to the rooms which is sometimes a great thing. Early New years morning I requested a late checkout and was called right back with a confirmation and brief instructions for checking out. The restaurant attached I think named Fireworks was good too for casual dining and takeout. Would definetly go back. Beats some of the Marriott brands in Crystal City. The price wasnt bad either for the holiday...under $135!

Stayed at the hotel for three nights while on business. Easy to reach from DCA via the Metro. When you get off at the Rosslyn Station, make sure you follow the signs to COURTHOUSE or you will wind up looking around for the hotel.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Gave me suggestions for nearby restaurants. Even asked if they wanted me to push the elevator button when my hands were full. What staff ever does that?
The room was clean and big. I had a studio, which was big. A nice kitchen area that was fully equipped with all the amentities of a kitchen. Nice sitting area and work area. Big, comfortable, king bed with big closet, safety box, extra blankets and pillows and plenty of nice hangers. Sink/vanity outside of bathroom with lots of shelf space. Bathroom was decent size with shelf units as well.
Hotel has pool and whirlpool-neither of which I used. They also had a great workout room that I made good use of. Large lobby with comfortable sofas and chairs. Two computer stations gave you complimentary usage.
Breakfast was served each day in a separate part of the lobby with lots of seating and tables. Only ate there once, but choice was large with both warm and cold items. Lots of staff to keep everything replenished and looking good.
Hotel also had a small food kiosk and will go grocery shopping for you if you want and will only charge you for the items bought.
The only drawback would be the location. Nearby are some restaurants (Fireworks is the best of the ones I tried) and a deli open long hours for essentials. But most of the area is barren at night or weekends. And for tourist attractions, you will need transportation.
I would highly recommend this hotel for its rooms, amentities and staff.
