“Good enough!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

I got a decent deal for this hotel that is really more a motel, through Orbitz. It averaged about 80 a night. Location is good, near the Rosslyn metro. What everyone says about the spotless clean is really true. Housekeeper Elvia did a terrific job of keeping an old place as spic and span as it could be. Unfortunately, I was first put into a spacious sunny room with King size bed (as requested) that didn't have working wi-fi. When I called the front desk about it, the woman knew it didn't work in that room, and said I should've been told. But it was no trouble to switch rooms and I was put in one with two full size beds, but working wi-fi, clean, not as spacious or bright, but fine. This is a good enough place to stay if all you need is clean and tidy, good service, simple. Basic amenities are there, and breakfast is literally just bagels and donuts and coffee, but again - good enough. I didn't find it too loud despite being by the parking and next to a busy road. Beds are comfortable, etc. I recommend it if you're looking for budget and not high maintenance.

Room Tip: Room 2 does not get wi-fi. Sounds like there are one or two others, too, so ask about that before se...

Stayed here for one night, price great, location great, staff great. Front desk clerk Martine even printed out some groupon coupons I had forgotten. Breakfast was nothing to brag about but room was clean and I slept well. I was worried about traffic from highway but didn't even hear it. Shuttle service very limited and internet not great. I would stay again.

Room Tip: room 3 was pretty quiet despite it being close to breakfast service

Boy, I'm not sure how to start on this one. To be up front - I'm not very picky. I firmly believe that a hotel is just a place to sleep, and I don't really care about amenities.
The Inn of Rosslyn is in a great location: 1/2 mile to subway entrance (next to a large grocery store) through a very safe neighborhood; or a nice 2 mile walk through Arlington cemetery to Linclon Memorial. The price was good: We paid $89 for the 1st night and $99 for the next two (the Best Western is half block away with 50% higher prices). But the place is really falling apart: curtains were stained, blankets had holes in them, peeling paint, battered furniture. (I do have to say it was clean, though - the maids did the best they could with what they had.) It was noisy: sits on a fairly busy street with the airport quite nearby (you can really hear the traffice and airplanes). And the continental breakfast was a mess: staff was very casual about keeping the donuts, bagels and coffee (that's all there was to it) stocked and the crumbs wiped up (I personally went around and picked up napkins and coffee cups every morning because I couldn't stand to look at it while my bagel toasted).
For the budget traveller that doesn't care where he stays as long as it's decent, this is the place for you. If you're picky (and I mean low expectations picky) about your accomodations then I'd really recommend that you pay more and stay elsewhere.

Next to main road so easy access. The area is mainly office blocks between the Inn and The Metro, however there are eating places scattered around, I felt very safe walking in the area and particularly like the short walk to the Iwo Jima Memorial, Not an attractive but Short walk. The metro will take you to everywhere though a walk through Arlington Cemetry will take you over the River to The Lincoln memorial and everything in that area. This is not a short walk but a very enjoyable one. The Inn is a Motel but my room was excellent. The "Breakfast" was a choice of doughnuts and buns and some coffee. You just help yourself in a designated room. The Reception is a small area but the ladies where helpfull(ish) They helped where they could. The Rosslyn Inn is a good place to stay at a good price, I would reccomend it. Alexandria and DC are on main Metro and Bus routes. Georgetown is on trolley route.

I needed a room and checked this hotel. I am not from america and had a lot of questions to ask and judy was very patient and helpful with all my questions. I like her because she was busy and still helped me. My room was big and clean with a breakfast. I will come here to stay when i come back.

The Inn of Rosslyn is an older motel type lodging that is showing its years and would not be recommended for anyone looking for high quality rooms and services. The main attraction is the relatively low price compared to many other options in the Arlington/DC area. The Inn is about 5 or 6 blocks from the Rosslyn Metro Station, which provides access to the DC Mall with its monuments and museums as well easy access to Washington National and the Amtrak rail stations in DC and Alexandria. I would not recommend the walk after dark for female visitors, but the Inn does have a shuttle if their driver is available.

Two blocks away is the delightful, clean, safe Best Western.
I believed the "decent" reviews of the Inn and then I entered Room 4. Smelled to high you-know-where. Overheated. Windows were plastic--very lightweight plexiglas and didn't lock! Back to office. Room 5- same deal. Room 21 - same deal. Lady at desk very accommodating, called mgr, we got out with no charge. Writing this from BW room only 7.00 more and equal to a Marriott. Phew.
