“Quiet and Safe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2009

This is a good hotel if you are on a budget and want a quiet and safe place to stay. The Rosslyn Metro Station is within walking distance from the hotel, around two or three blocks away. We were here with a tour group and didn't have to worry about transportation, but we did stay an extra three days on our own and got around easily using the Metro system into D.C. The only exception was a cab to the Georgetown area and to and from the airport. Cab fares were very reasonable. You can take the Metro from the airport to the Rosslyn Station, but we chose not to because of the walk with luggage. For just sightseeing though, it is easy to use the Metro. The blue line from the Rosslyn Metro Station will take you to the Smithsonian Station which is right on the National Mall. As for the hotel, make sure you ask for an inside corridor room which is in the newer part. They do have some rooms that open to the outside but none of our group was in that area. The rooms were very clean and maintained well. While we were gone most of the time sightseeing, this hotel served as a good place to rest for the next day, and the rates are much lower than the downtown D.C. area and very close to Arlington Cemetery.

After trying to find a reasonable hotel in DC I gave up.. This hotel was 120$ and free parking..whichis hard to find in DC. Rooms were very nice and the staff very helpful with ddirections etc. Would recommend this hotel when visiting DC.

We got a great deal on a 24 sales at hotels.com; however, the hotel said that if we called with the rate, they would match it and we would get airline miles. So I would recommend that. However, even without the sale price, it was a great value! Free parking and our room was clean, had a flat screen TV, microwave/coffeemaker/small fridge. The location was a short walk to the Rosslyn Metro and the Iwo Jima memorial. It is a little difficult to find as others have noted, its actually on Fairfax drive, not Arlington Blvd. Overall, I would recommend without hesitation if you are looking for affordable, clean, simple accomodations.

Good choice - a case of driving around till something fell into place and it did. Good location and not to much of a walk to railway for getting in and out of Washington proper. Close to Iwo Jima Monument and also Arlington National Cemetry. Rooms were spacious, good bathrooms and comfortable stay. Nice and clean and when the room upstairs overfilled their bath and it flowed downhill into our room (as water does) we were moved next door in a flash. Laundry for guests was welcome as we were into week 3 of a 4 week drive from west to east. Not much in the way of entertainment around but the restaurant attached was good for a meal at night (pizza was delish) and they also serve breakfast. internet connection was good so teenager was happy.

We stayed here one night, and it was a very comfy place. The staff were extremely friendly, helping us tourists with locating the Metro and other landmarks we wanted to get to. The room was pretty big, the bed was huge, there was a flat-screen TV, plenty of light, an iron with an ironing board, a built-in hairdryer, a microwave, and a fridge. All of which I thought were great amenities. We didn't visit the pool, but it looked nice enough. I'd recommend this reasonably priced hotel to anyone who wants to visit D.C.

This was our famliy's second DC trip in two years. Last year we stayed at King Street Hampton in Alexandria. The hotel room was clean. and large. Close to Metro stop, Rosslyn is last stop in Va. so very fast into DC.Can't beat the price. Parking Free. Restaurant attached surprisingly good and fairly priced. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. Iwo Jima memorial just over a bridge a short walk from motel. I would rate this hotel high given the price but then we used the pool. The pool's chemicals were not right and everyone's eyes burned when they used it. It did a real number on my daughter's hair! The lifeguard was unfriendly and rude. You don't want to see your lifeguard smoking and talking on the phone. I would recommend this hotel only if you don't plan on using the pool.
