“Tops in service and a good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

We stayed at the Best Western Rosslyn during the Presidential Inauguration, a time when everything was crowded. The staff went out of their way to be helpful (even cheerfully mailed us some items we left behind). Everyone at the desk was happy to answer questions and give directions. The room was very clean, though small. Parking is free. It's not a luxury property, but if you are looking for an excellent value in DC, with great staff, it's a good choice. It is very convenient to the Rosslyn Metro station and to the Circulator bus that goes to a number of neighborhoods and sites in Washington. We would certainly stay here again because of great staff, cleanliness, and convenient location. You can hear loud noise in the hall, a downside if your hall has party-goers.

Room Tip: Noise in the hall can be a factor; you might ask for a location "more likely" to be quiet.

Friendly Staff, clean rooms, comfortable king-sized bed and free parking. There is not a breakfast included with the like many Best Westerns, but the rest of the stay was good. Relatively close to the Capitol (about 6 miles) and walking distance to Arlington National Cemetery if the weather is nice.

This hotel is an excelent option to stay when you visit Washington DC or Arlinton.
It is quite simple, but have everything you may need.
The staff was very cool and helpful, giving me me a lot of tips about places and things to do.
A five minutes walk takes you to the Rosslyn metro station, from which you can reach almost anywhere in DC. Or, you can also walk a bit and visit the Iwo Jima Memorial.
Around the hotel there are many fast-food restaurants and cafes, and some other helpful stores such CSV, Walgreens, car rental...
Definitely, I would return there.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights on our visit to DC. It is a great value for the location. It is nothing fancy, but offers a clean room, friendly staff, and less than a 10 minute walk to the metro. The best part about the room was the shower head! It had the best pressure and water volume of any hotel I've ever been at. The hotel restaurant had decent food, but was a bit expensive for breakfast. If you aren't picky about hotels, and are just looking for a decently priced place to do nothing other than sleep at, then definitely check this place out.

Stayed a few days before New Years. Good location, 10 minutes walk to the metro. The room was OK, with new bedding, not those awful polyester bedspread. The arm chair had a huge (coffee?) stain on it. The hallway is way overheated. Overall tired looking hotel, and the attached restaurant is pretty lame. But, for the price, and free parking, one can't be too picky. It's fair value if you don't really spend any time at the hotel except to sleep.

GPS users beware !!! The hotel address shows Arlington Blvd but it's really physically on Fairfax.
Price to value to location can not be beat with this hotel.
It is in walking distance to the metro, close to good eateries and grocery store, near drug store and has wifi and free parking. What's not to like, outside of DC, yet so close to DC...
The hotel itself seems to be divided in two parts, the older one and the refurbished one. We stayed in the older part for a few days and upon advising the reception of the shower water issue (could not regulate it-went from freezing to burning), they transferred us to the newer part -
That is when we became aware of the difference. Throughout our 5 day stay, the front desk was always helpful and smiling, even providing cork screw service for the occasional bottle of wine and USA Today for the readers in our group. The first room was basic, the pillows could use an upgrade as well as the sheets and a few more hangers would have been useful. The transferred room was upgraded, modernized and more comfortable. Overall both rooms were clean and the wifi worked well.
From this place, we saw the Iwo Jima memorial, went to Arlington cemetary, visited DC Museums, just a great location! We will certainly book again on our next visit to DC...

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the same side as the reception - they have been upgraded..
