“Excellent location for DC Visits”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

Excellent location for business travelers and families visiting the DC area – this hotel has everything you need. Stayed here about 4 years ago and decided to use it again during a week-long business trip - now I’ll put it high on my list of choices for return trips to DC. The whole hotel has been renovated – the rooms are fresh, modern & very functional - perfect for the business traveler. If you want to eat in, the kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals. If you prefer to eat out – lots of great restaurants are less than a 10 minute walk away. There is a shopping Mall and a Metro stop a couple of blocks away – so all of your shopping and transportation needs are only minutes away. Very good free breakfast buffet, evening social and WiFi access are included with the room – great benefits. Front desk was very helpful with directions and service; look forward to return visits.

Room Tip: Ask for a high story room for a great view of DC

Across the street from the Pentagon with easy walk to public transport to downtown Washington. They have a complimentary shuttle to the public transit and Mall if walking is difficult for you. Walking distance to Costco, mall and groceries. So far I have never been disappointed with the Residence Inn chain. We discovered that staying at this hotel on the weekends is much cheaper than weekdays, so it was excellent bang for the buck, around $100.00 a night. Parking is free on the streets around the hotel on weekends but watch your timings for when the meters start if your there past Sunday. We had no problem finding parking on the street but there is parking underground, for a price, at the hotel. Free breakfast was typical Residence Inn breakfast, which are decent with hot choices. If we ever get back to Washington, DC, I will definately go back to this hotel without hesitation. Safe, clean area of town.

Room Tip: Ask to have a view of the Pentagon.

This was a great hotel close to Regan Airport and Arlington National Cemetary. They provide a free airport shuttle so we didnt need to rent a car. The front desk staff was fantastic and very friendly. Our room was large and very clean. The free breakfast was great and had a good variety. There was no restaurant at the hotel but they will shuttle you anywhere within 1 mile. There was a large mall and lots of restaurants close by. The price was a little high, but we would stay again for sure.

Short and simple, the room/hotel was outstanding, and extremely clean, If you're booked here, you have nothing to worry about. Also we got a free breakfast and dinner while staying here! There is a pool table in the lobby and the staff was quite friendly!

Room Tip: Ask for a room looking towards DC, some excellent views to be had.

Great hotel: we got full kitchen, living room and two separate rooms. The kids room had 2 queens and a bathroom, the parents got a private room with a queen too! Everybody was super friendly. We brought bikes from Indiana and were able to store them in the locked garage below the hotel. Hotel is about 1/2 mile from bike trail that connects to Arlington Cemetery and across the river to the mall on dedicated bike lanes. Fantastic base to use to explore DC for a week. Used the metro on rainy days: the station was a quick 4 minute walk.

Room Tip: If you have more than 2 kids, get the suite where the second room has two beds.

Clean well appointed room. Very pleasant and helpful front desk staff. Very surprised to arrive at breakfast on Sunday September 30th to find cold food (which had just come out of the kitchen), diners trying to reach plates and utensils while those making waffles blocked their access, and a rude member of the waitstaff who became disgusted when my wife simply notified him that the half and half container was empty. Seems like two separate companies. Perhaps the food service side is subcontracted? Not at all what the Residence Inn breakfast used to be!

We picked this hotel for the price and were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. We traveled to DC on Amtrak and getting to the hotel was a breeze. We arrived after 10 pm but the less than 2 block walk to the hotel was safe as you have to pass the DEA and TSA headquarters. Occupied guard booths on the way. The area is remote and really no restaurants within walking distance (though Pentagon City Mall was!!) But hotel provides a free shuttle for any location within a mile radius (Thanks, Adam) The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Zemy at the front desk made reservations for us.

Room Tip: As other reviews have said you can request a Pentagon facing, high floor room (no guarantees though...
