“New,& Clean and Great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2012

Super convenient hotel, rooms are large with kitchen and very new and clean. Excellent staff! Breakfast is free although not as good as Embassy Suites and does not have a bar to hang out in at night.

All family suites overlooking the Pentagon across the expressway. Excellent location, there is a mall almost in the back yard only one block distance, only five minutes away from Arlington Cemetery and 10 -15 minutes from Smithsonians, White House etc. The hotel has great views of the Ronald Reagan airport, Lincoln memorial and Washington monument. Breakfast was complimentary and great though egg station was missing. Internet access is also complimentary. There is a hotel shuttle which provides a mile long service.

Room Tip: Definitely a corner room overlooking the Pentagon on the highest floor

I've always liked this hotel and have been staying here off and on for the last 15 years. I was excited to hear that they had remodeled. The breakfast room is OK but it seems harder to find a clean table now than before and the buffet line is more congested. The changes to my room were not an improvement, but then I had a handicap accessible room so maybe the others are laid out differently. Access to the window was blocked by a desk making it hard to open and close the blinds. The bathroom counter top barely had room for my toiletry bag (surely a variance for better wheelchair access). The chairs for the "dining" area faced away from the TV and there was no room to flip them to the other side. To top it off there was no airconditioning until midnight and that is an issue when it is June in DC. No discounts or accomodations were offered other than a recommendation to go to the community room where it was less hot. The shuttle that takes you anywhere within a mile is godsend on rainy days. Harris Teaters is right up the street and is an excellent grocery store.

Room Tip: If you don't need a handicap accessable room make sure to ask for one that isn't. Higher up...

Excellent location, there is a mall almost in the back yard only one block distance, five minutes from Arlington Cementery and no more than 10 from other attractions, great service, parking (not included), breakfast, if you want to visit the Pentangon you can walk from the hotel to there.

Right across from the Pentagon, great for families. Large rooms with kitchens, everything appeared brand new. Indoor pool with a lifeguard, which is a nice perk.

We stayed at this residence inn over memorial weekend. The hotel was therefore packed including with the Harley riders taking part in rolling thunder demonstration 2012. Generally the hotel coped well. Breakfast was a bit chaotic due to the high occupancy in the hotel but the staff worked hard to keep supplies stocked and people fed. The facilities in the room were superb. Modern, convenient and stylish. Despite the numbers staying the room was quiet. The underground garage parking - extra charge - was safe and convenient. The hotel offered a free shuttle to anywhere within a mile radius and again this was helpful despite the high usage! I'd definitely stay here again and was very impressed with the facility.

While looking for a reasonable place to stay in Washington, D.C. we found the Residence Inn which was in a great location. We could actually see the Pentagon from our window and several of the monuments. The front desk personel were very pleasant but most of all very helpful. The list of restaurants near by was helpful and a recommendation was appreciated since we had a 4 year old and 9 year old with us for a few days. We were very surprised and pleased that the hotel offered "free of charge" to take us to the restaurant and pick us up for dinner. The breakfast in the morning "no extra charge" was delightful and the staff kept everything replenished and clean. Our room was very clean and had a full kitchen with dishes. We had our car so we took the children to the Marine Corp Museum and highly recommend to everyone. It was worth going the 25 miles to see, no parking fee and the beautiful museum was free of charge also. Next we drove to the Zoo which was great and once again "no charge". There was however a parking fee but what the heck the zoo was worth it and had plenty of shade as we walk to each exhibit. Once again this hotel, it's staff and the location made for a great visit to D. C. Next time I would like to try the metro.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask to have a room where you can see the Pentagon and a few of the monuments.
