I adore Marriott courtyard only for its Marriott Rewards Points. Location is fabulous-metro stations in between Rosslyn and Courthouse to choose from, and it's near Rosslyn bus station, close to walk to many nice restaurants in the area but not too good for long term accommodation (we'll be here for 6 weeks).
We are staying in the suite. It is spacious, nice and much needed for a long term stay.
In the living room area, there is no open concept kitchen..only a minibar, coffee maker and microwave. Styrofoam cups are provided but they are not good to microwave. There is no simple microwavable tableware or cutlery.
In the bedroom, we have the luxurious king size bed. The pillows are however, thin (100% polyester). The maid will make them in a way they look like square cushions..not too good to sleep in, so there are 5 pillows on the bed. I had two neck aches during my first week here but was given 2 more of the same pillows. There is no bathrobe. The bathroom area basic. Sink area is visible from bed and toilet/bathtub cubicle has a door to separate..it' is tight behind the door.
I wish this hotel comes with the complimentary daily breakfast, happy hours for certain evenings and daily coffee in the lobby-just that of nearby Marriott Residence Inn. It feels good to know the compliments are there even if one doesn't need it.
There is one laundry room in this hotel which has one washer and one dryer. To use will cost a dollar each time, each machine.
Cleaning service is okay, usually quick but I let the maid come in to vacuum or change bed sheets 2-3 every 2 weeks. I will request from the maid toiletries, towels, facial tissues etc from if I need them from time to time. It seems the daily cleaning time differs, once I waited from morning till 3pm once to have someone to clean. Also, my husband usually sits on the couch with his laptop and once, realised there were ants on the carpet. We just checked in not long ago and so borrowed the vacuum from the maid next day to do ourselves, we have not seen the ants since.
The staff at the front desk is helpful, esp. Kori (hope the spell is right). He checked us in and is very helpful to many of our requests, including loaning us 2 sets of plates and bowls which we eventually returned to the indoor coffee shop because they are not microwavable.
My stay is longer than normal, so I need a place which feels more like a studio home. To me, this isn't the one, not especially when it does not come with a regular size fridge, sink/stove or basic tableware. For travelers visiting couple of days in the area, this hotel is good enough for its location.

We're all happy you got to stay with us for such a long time and I'm glad I finally got to meet both of you Mad K (to not use both of your real names) while you were still at the hotel! It was a pleasure speaking with the both of you and getting to know your stories about being in Serbia.

Again, I apologize that our hotel was not what you had in mind before your stay but hopefully we were able to make you comfortable enough by providing as many amenities as we could. It sounds like Cori's and the others' service helped you enjoy your stay though which is great.
The chocolates you gave us were also incredible - they lasted about 30 minutes before they were all gone. Thank you so much! Hopefully you enjoyed our treats as well and we would love to host you again when you're in town. At least stop in to say hi when you are back in the US. Safe travels!
