“Great deal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

This hotel was amazing! We were a little worried about the location but we soon figured we were wrong. It is quite near the Metro Rosslyn station, and when you get tired of carrying your bags arriving from your country of origin they quickly send a van to get you at the Metro station. There is a pharmacy located just the street behind the hotel and good places to eat. Even a restaurant that serves guarana to drink (if you are brazilian you know what i mean). The staff at the hotel is extremely nice and helpful. The guests have a mini market near the lobby, a micro wave oven to use, a small fitting room (frequently enough) and everything is posed to please the guests. We come to Washington every year and we elected this hotel as our hotel for the next visits. They provide free wireless Internet for checking your emails and some quick stuff. We really enjoyed our stay. Then, we moved to another hotel of the same brand, and things were not the same. We missed our hotel.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms away from the elevators. We were disturbed by some excited kids one night, but the...

I can't say enough for all of the help that the staff provided us. Corey(Cody) at the front desk was the best! Helped you with any question you had. Only used the shuttle one time, but driver was very friendly. the rooms were neat and clean. Plenty of towels for my family. Bed was comfortable. If I had one complaint it would be that the rooms do not have a separate sink area from the bathroom. As the only woman in my family they have to wait on me to get ready. And no hairdryer. But the good far out weighs the bad. About a 1/2 mile walk to metro. Not bad going but coming back is up a hill. But you could always call for the shuttle. The hotel is nice and the staff is great. Thanks for a fun stay. Plenty of places to eat around there also. Ask the front desk and they will give you a list of where they recommend.

My husband and I just got back from a two-night stay at the Courtyard Rosslyn. Rosslyn is just over the bridge from Georgetown, D.C. so the hotel was conveniently located. We walked to Georgetown and back a couple of times, and it was a very manageable walk. The Metro is also close by. The hotel was very clean and our room was in great shape. There was construction going on across the street, so it was quite loud, but that's not exactly the Courtyard's fault (there seems to be a lot of construction in Rosslyn). The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and accommodating.

A few cons:
1) Our room was located right by the ice machine which was REALLY loud. It would be better if there was a door separating the ice machine area from the hall.
2) The A/C was also very loud. It would go on and off all night regulating the temperature, and each time it came on, I would wake up (even wearing earplugs).
3) My husband and I both hated the pillows. There were 5 very small (smaller than standard size) pillows on the king-size bed--the squishy, faux-down type. I had requested extra foam pillows but I'm pretty sure that's not what these were. They had no shape or support and it was hard to watch tv or read a book as they just kept squishing down.
4) The combination lobby cafe/Starbucks was not well organized. The line was huge and moved much more slowly than it should have. My husband wanted a muffin, which was sitting right there in the case, and they told him he would have to wait until the people ordering hot meals (e.g., eggs & bacon) were served! They wouldn't just take it out of the case and hand it to him with his coffee. So he skipped the muffin.

Other than these items (which really weren't that big a deal), the stay was very pleasant. I'd probably give the hotel 3.5 stars if that was an option.

We stayed here for a 3 night trip to Washington D.C. Overall, it was very clean and comfortable.

Pros: 2 Queen beds, large bathroom, lots of storage, nice lobby, friendly staff, good breakfast *if* you get the "stay for breakfast" rate, excellent rate for so close to D.C.

Cons: The metro stop is about a 10 minute walk downhill. The problem with this is that at the end of a long day of walking in D.C., you have a 10 minute walk up a relatively steep hill. Breakfast can be pricey if you don't have the "stay for breakfast" rate

The hotel itself is wonderful, which is why I gave it a 5. The steep hill to the metro was enough, however, for us to consider other hotels that are slightly closer to the Metro in the future.

The hotel location is good and the hotel is in very good condition. The downside is there is construction going on at the building across the street. During the week they started quite early. Keep this in mind when checking in. Staff was always friendly, furniture was good condition and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast is not included in your stay, but they have somewhere to purchase food in the lobby. The hotel is located by a lot of good restaurants and stores within walking distance. There is a shuttle that takes you to certain areas also.

Room Tip: Check if any construction is going on near the hotel.

My wife, grandson and myself stayed at the Courtyard over Memorial Day weekend, 2012. The hotel offers shuttle service to the Metro which is very helpful when arriving or leaving with luggage, otherwise, it is a short walk. The Courtyard's location puts you in a location with plenty of restaurants and even a grocery store. I plan to stay at this hotel on our next visit to DC due to the price, quality of service and especially its location in Rosslyn, which is so close to all the great places to visit while in DC for your vacation.

Room Tip: The hotel was fully booked. The only room available was a handicap room which was very nice althoug...

Very easy to find. Only a couple of turns off I-95. Hotel was modern, clean, staff was friendly. Parking only cost $10 per day (not valet). There are several restaurants in walking distance also. The only thing missing was free breakfast. The cafe' in the hotel was overpriced.
