“Glad We Stopped”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

OK, given that a drug enforcement museum might be tough sell for the family it is really worth your time. Educational but not preachy. Soon to be better with the opening of a huge new gallery. Check out the awesome motorcycle that was seized from a drug dealer. They have fact sheets for anyone doing a school report or for parents. Free and pretty impressive.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

We loved it, Museum is closed but the history of this site is amazing. You learn so much about the DEA that you don't realize that it more than the United States that is involved. Would go back again.

“Surprisingly interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

Having lived in Arlington for many years I finally decided to check this place out. I spent a couple of hours reading all of the display materials. I found the early history of how drugs came to this country and became an epidemic and the consequent growth of drug enforcement to be the most interesting. There is also a lot of info about various drug busts, including materials confiscated during these events. Turns out the DEA is now largely focused on prescription drug abuse and production.

I would not recommend this to families with small children or early teens since there is a lot of reading to do. Parking is located at street meters and mall garages nearby. Metro is a couple of blocks away.

This museum can be easily combined with a trip to the Pentagon and Air Force Memorials nearby.

“Great FREE Museum!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Definitely not something I ever thought about before but one day I was walking by and saw the sign for the museum. Then I read about it in one of the local magazines. It is a nice museum. It shows the histroy of drug use in the U.S. over time and some of the associated problems. Just make sure to check out their website in advance though, as they are only open certain days / times.

“Tons of things to see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2012

Lots of reading and exhibits for a small museum. You can definitely spend a minimum fof 30 mins in there. Cool to see what items they seized from drug dealers and old undercover wardrobes.
