One of the most moving experiences I have ever had is the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier. This is a solemn and reverent ceremony to honor the dead from past wars. The men who man this are selected very carefully and undergo rigorous training and a life long commitment. I understand that even though they were told they could "Stand Down" during a hurricane when all our government offices were closed they refused and continued their vigil over one of our most beloved monuments. They honor the memory of all our heroes and they themselves are deserving of our love and respect. This is a must see for anyone who goes to Washington, D.C.
