I am soooo picky I read these reviews AFTER I paid for the hotel and was just sick. It was for myself and son and a room for my folks (77). I was VERY upset. I called Days Inn corporate office, they could not help. Once paid, that was it. I was SICK!
It got there and were were so shocked. Yes, it was a bit older BUT it was VERY nice and clean inside, both our rooms had very nice carpet (clean, too) and nice furniture (not new but very nice), nice TV, and we had a microwage and refrigerator (FREE) and my folks had that PLUS a little freezer! Everything was clean, bathrooms, and I absolutely loved the lotion. I kept hiding it so I'd get a new one each morning! :-) VERY nice. The only thing I had was the towels were a bit rough, but that's not anything to complain about...it is NOT a 5 star hotel (at which I have had rough towels, too!) It will be a nice experience and cheap for what you get.
The bathroom was clean. There was nothing wrong with it. I really think these reviews are regarding the other Days Inn there which I know is in a very bad part of town and has rough ones who stay there. This one on Richmond Highway (6100) was very, very nice and I had to apologize to the people when I was there. My folks were very pleased, too and we are actually rather hard to please. My son was really worried I'd throw a fit. BUT...I was very, VERY happy and would stay there again! PLEASE make sure you check the address. Oh, no bugs, roaches, etc. The pool looked nice and it was quiet. No noise and we were there Friday and Saturday nights. VERY happy and highly recommend it.
