“Beyond Our Expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

My husband and I found pretty consistent positive reviews for La Tasca, so we decided to check it out especially since we love Spanish cuisine. First, we were pleasantly greeted by staff. Then we found that the Sangria was the best we have had! The food was beyond what we expected from the eggplant chips to the beef tenderloin salad. The service from Bayron (sp?) made us feel like royalty. The flamenco dancers only added to our excellent night. We will definitely go back on our next visit to Alexandria.

“Delicious tapas and good wine and sangria.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

We frequent quite a few tapas spots in our area but La Tasca in Old Town Alexandria, VA is by far our favorite. The atmosphere and the staff combine to make the experience there even better. Their sangria selection changes a bit from trip to trip, but there are alsays many to choose from and worth trying. The tapas are varied and delicious. Whether we eat at the bar or at a table; whether we choose from the regular menu or try one of the many specials offered throughout the year, we have not ever been disappointed. A great destination!

“Good Tapas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

Went out here with family for dinner. It was good. Nothing to be blown out of the water. The sangria was pretty good. The service was good

. The only problem we had was that the hostess was upset because we didn't want to sit at the first table she gave us. It was a Sunday and the place was pretty empty. She sat us next to a family were we could barely pull the seat out to sit down with out hitting the person behind. So I asked for another table and she made a face. Very unprofessional on her behalf. I guess she needs a reminder that the customers are paying for their product and service.

Not disappointed at all with the Tapas. Good variety and plenty of flavor. Good place for family dinner.

My wife and I have been here several times and have yet to be disappointed. From solo at the bar, to a couple, to dinner with friends we are always satisfied. The food is tasty and service attentive. Definitely a go to place in Alexandria.

“So delicious and fun, too”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This was our second time visiting La Tasca in the last year and we were celebrating a birthday. Starting with the Cadillac Sangrias, both the red and the white are delicious and get you off on the right food for a fun evening and amazing food. The catalan bread is a good starter, the spinach is surprisingly amazing, both lamb dishes were wonderful, and don't miss the shrimp with mandarin oranges. Just wow on flavor. The food really reminded us of our trip to Barcelona.
Another great thing about this place are the flamenco performances. They move around the restaurant so everyone can get a good view of their fancy footwork and rhythm. It's a lot of fun. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and delicious night out.
