“Yummy tapas!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2011

Went for happy hour on July 17, 2011. We actually walked into the wrong Tapas restaurant but glad we did. Tapas offered during happy hour were good and inexpensive ($3.00). Happy hour drink menu Is somewhat limited but they do offer other drinks on regular menu. Except for bartender, staff could be a bit more friendlier & more attentive to the needs of the customer.

“Great Service and Tasty Tapas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2011

The Old Town Alexandria location serves tastier versions of the same dishes than the Arlington location, and the atmosphere in Alexandria is nicer. Additionally, there are better parking options in Old Town. We used a Restaurant.com gift certificate for the "unlimited" tapas menu. We were full before we came close to exhausting the menu's wide selection. Inside seating is comfortable and provides space between you and the next table (as opposed to Arlington). Will definitely visit again!

“Lively Atmosphere, Friendly, Great food & Music”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2011

As this is a Tappas restaurant, the dishes are smaller and less expensive. This lets you order 2 small dishes for the price you'd pay for a regular dish. My husband and I each got 2 dishes and shared an appetizer, which was more than enough. He had 2 beers, I had a sangria the bill came to $60. We were there on a friday night and they had a great, low key band playing and the customers got up from their tables and danced in front of where the band played. It was really great.

“The worst "Spanish" food I've ever tasted”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2011

I've traveled and eaten well in Spain and don't expect every restaurant to be 100% authentic, but there is nothing in this restaurant that even comes close to what Spanish flavors are supposed to taste like! Some of it looks the same, but it's almost as if they threw out the saffron and the pimenton... the good, Spanish Olive oil! Even the bread and olives tasted worse than most supermarket varieties... not even close to what any self-respecting Spanish restaurant would server it's customers! This was the biggest waste of money and time that I can remeber having in any restaurant. With Jaleo's and other emerging Spanish restaurants in D.C. don't bother with this place. It makes me angry that I even ate here!
